In the middle of September this year, Chen found a pond that was extremely suitable for wild duck hunting. So, through the pruning of the reeds by the pond and the re-accumulation of silt, a simple hut was built.
After online inquiries, Chen decided to use the call of a domestic duck to lure wild water ducks to "throw themselves into the net" because of love. In early October, Chen took bamboo poles, white wire fishing nets, wires and domestic ducks bought from the wet market, and spent several days arranging nets and grass huts for catching fish, preparing to "do a big job".
When Chen was captured, it was already his third time catching wild ducks. Since the beginning of October, Chen has caught a total of 32 wild ducks and sold them at prices ranging from 50 yuan to 150 yuan each.
