Shen Chao, director of the Municipal Philatelic Association, said that on March 25, 2018, China Post issued a set of 4 special stamps of "Begonia Flowers", of which the third "Henan Begonia" stamp was in Song County, our city. The begonia pattern on this stamp is based on a wild Henan begonia specimen collected by Wang Suiyi, a teacher at Henan Agricultural College (now Henan Agricultural University) in June 1963, at the Longchiman National Nature Reserve in Songxian County.

Begonia is a plant endemic to China, and there are records of cultivation in the literature of the pre-Qin period. In ancient times, begonias and magnolia flowers were often planted together, taking the meaning of "yutang rich". Wild Henan begonias can often be seen in the hilly areas and shallow mountains of Song County, which are locally known as "Muhu Pear" and "Large-leaved Hawthorn".

Shen Chao introduced that on March 25, 2018, with the consent of China Post Group Corporation, the launch ceremony of the special stamp "Begonia Flower" was held in Song County.

On February 19, 1981, in order to celebrate the Lantern Festival, China issued a special stamp of "Palace Lights". This set of 6 stamps shows six kinds of palace lamps, namely flower basket lamp, dragon ball lamp, dragon phoenix lamp, treasure pot lamp, grass flower lamp and peony lamp. Among them, the peony lamp in the picture of the sixth stamp "Peony Lamp", the rosewood skeleton is inlaid with glass, and the glass is painted with fish and insects, which is exquisitely shaped, like a blooming peony.
