When he lived in the cave dwelling in Yan'an, Ren Bishi and Zhou Enlai were inside and outside. Ren Bi woke up early in the morning and would go around the barracks when he got out of bed. In order not to disturb Zhou Enlai, Ren Bishi did not walk through the aisle, and each time carefully climbed out of the window of his cave.
One morning, Zhou Enlai woke up and saw that the cave door was still closed, thinking that Ren Bi had not woken up, so he got up lightly and got dressed. Suddenly, Zhou Enlai wanted to cough, and when he was afraid of alarming Ren Bi, he hurried out of the cave and walked until he was more than ten meters away before coughing out. After coughing, he looked up and found that Ren Bishi was walking towards the cave. The two were stunned, and then they understood each other's intentions.
This is the common feature of Ren Bishi and Zhou Enlai, they are the kind of people who want to think about others from within.
Although Ren Bishi was not very old, his position in the party was comparable to that of Chairman Mao, Zhu De, Zhou Enlai, and Liu Shaoqi, and he was one of the "five secretaries." But why didn't he show up at the founding ceremony, and why did he die in the first place?

Ren Bishi was born in 1904, and his father was a poor teacher. Ren Bishi began to study with his father at the age of 5, and after entering middle school, he was influenced by the May Fourth Movement and began to actively participate in patriotic activities.
At the age of 16, his family could not afford to study for him, so Ren Bishi joined the Russian Research Society organized by Mao Zedong and others, and then went to Shanghai to learn Russian under the introduction of the research association.
The following year, Ren Bishi went to Soviet Russia with Liu Shaoqi and others. At that time, there were many checkpoints on the way to Soviet Russia, and if you were not careful, you would be arrested. If you encounter white bandits who are opposed to Soviet power, you may still be killed.
They traveled through the thick lines of fire and hardships to reach the Eastern Workers' University (a school dedicated to training revolutionary cadres) in Moscow.

At that time, the situation in the Soviet Union was also very difficult, food shortages, Ren Bishi and others could only receive 200 grams of black bread a day, and starvation was a common thing. It was under such conditions that Ren Bishi worked hard to study Marxism-Leninism.
After more than three years in the Soviet Union, Ren Bishi returned to Shanghai to serve as acting secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, and Ren Bishi was only in his twenties at this time, but he dared to give advice to the leader Chen Duxiu and often argued with him.
Once, when everyone was in a meeting, Ren Bishi asked to speak, but Chen Duxiu repeatedly blocked him from opening his mouth, and later Ren Bishi simply picked up the opinion letter and prepared to read it in public. Chen Duxiu was so angry that he rushed up in a daze and tore the opinion letter to pieces in front of everyone.
Is ren bishi's opinion correct? As it turned out, he was right.
After the collapse of the Kuomintang in 1927, the Great Revolution was defeated miserably, and the party suffered huge losses, and everyone deeply felt that Ren Bishi's views were correct. At the Eighty-Seventh Meeting, Qu Qiubai tightly held Ren Bishi's hand and praised him for his courage and consciousness. At the age of 22, Ren Bishi was also elected as a member of the Politburo, the first of its kind in the history of the party.
After that, Ren Bishi began to work underground.
In 1927, Ren Bishi was in Wuhan

In March 1928, a man named Yin Kuan was appointed secretary of the Provisional Committee of the Communist Party of China in Anhui Province. Yin Kuan acted arbitrarily in his work, which made the organization full of contradictions. Later, Yin Kuan simply left his post and said that he wanted to recuperate for a long time. His provocation led to almost all of the work of the Anhui Provincial PARTY Committee coming to a standstill, the party organizations in all counties were destroyed, and a large number of party members and cadres were arrested and killed.
In September, the central government sent Ren Bishi to Anhui for an inspection. After Ren Bishi arrived in Wuhu, he first criticized Yin Kuan's behavior and then began to deal with internal disputes.
Just when things are developing in a good direction, the danger is also approaching Ren Bi step by step.
On the morning of the 15th, Ren Bishi and others went to the Xiangyou Temple to attend a meeting, but they were caught by the enemy squarely, because the news was leaked. After being captured, no matter how the enemy tortured him, Ren Bishi refused to admit his identity, and the enemy did not get a confession, so he had to send him to Anqing for detention.

To go to Anqing, you have to take a steamship, and there are many passengers on board to watch. Ren Bishi suddenly found a familiar face in the crowd, and on a closer look, it was his compatriot Peng Youting.
Peng Youting was a small trader who often sold silk in jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui. Peng Youting also recognized Ren Bi at this time and was preparing to greet him, and Ren Bishi quickly gave him a look, meaning not to make a sound.
At this time, there were more and more crowds of onlookers, and the soldiers escorting Ren Bi pushed and shoved to keep everyone away, and said in their mouths, "Go away and walk away, red brain shell, what is there to see!" ”
Ren Bishi took the opportunity to quickly stand up and argue loudly: "Sir, don't wrongfully accuse people, I am not surnamed Chi, my surname is Hu, my name is Hu Shaofu, and I am a guy from Changsha Weilun Paper Village." Ren Bishi said this in fact to imply Peng Youting.
Fortunately, Peng Youting was also a shrewd man, and he disembarked from the ship in the middle of the way, then transferred to the train, hurried to Shanghai, and told Ren Bishi's wife Chen Chunying about the matter.

While reporting to the organization, Chen Chunying rushed to the Weilun Paper Estate in Changsha. The owner of Weilun Paper Estate is actually a relative of Chen Chunying's family, and in order to deal with the confrontation of the enemy, Chen Chunying must personally go to sit in the town. She was so anxious that she didn't dare to waste a minute or a second.
It was late autumn, and in order to rush to Changsha early, Chen Chunying, holding her daughter who had just been born not long ago, climbed into a car pulling coal. The cold wind was biting, and Chen Chunying hugged her daughter tightly and curled up on the open-top van. The heart-wrenching thing is that the child was too young to withstand the cold, contracted pneumonia, and ultimately did not survive. This is the first child of Chen Chunying and Ren Bishi.
Due to insufficient evidence, Ren Bishi was later acquitted. Not long after resting, he accepted a new task in a dusty manner.
In 1929, Ren Bishi was arrested again when he attended a meeting, this time, the enemy electrocuted him, and Ren Bishi's back was branded with two fist-sized holes. Fortunately, Zhou Enlai and others actively rescued him and he was released. Due to the serious injuries to his body, Ren Bishi fell ill.
In 1930, he was appointed to the throne

During the Long March, Ren Bishi served as the leader of the Red Second Front, and many people thought that he was in his 50s, but in fact he was in his early 30s.
Since being tortured in prison, Ren Bishi's health is not as good as before, and he will be dizzy from time to time, and colds and fevers are also common.
In the Soviet area, Ren Bishi and the group dug wild vegetables together, and on the Long March Road, Ren Bishi did not want to sit on a stretcher, but dragged the sick body forward step by step with crutches.

Ren Bishi knew very well in his heart that he would not live long. So, he worked particularly hard. From the military and the economy to the personnel and food, he had to take care of everything big or small. Because of the thoughtful and fair handling of problems, many people will find him to help solve problems when they encounter them. Ren Bishi almost had to work more than 15 hours a day, which was very hard. People say he is an "old mother" in the party.
In Yan'an, due to extreme economic difficulties, the central government called on everyone to open up the land to grow grain and spin yarn and weave fabrics. Ren Bishi led by example and took the lead in participating in production and labor. At that time, Comrade Zhu De was a master of growing vegetables, and the big winter melons he planted were praised by everyone, while the cloth spun out by Ren Bishi won awards in the competition.
The cadres participated in the spinning of threads
Marshal Ye Jianying once commented on Ren Bi, saying that he was a camel of the party and the people, carrying a heavy burden, walking step by step on a long and arduous road, never knowing enjoyment, never thinking about personal gains and losses.
Ren Bishi was upright and just, and everyone admired him.
At that time, in order to increase the source of funds, the Party Central Committee specially allocated a sum of money and sent people to other places to do business. Later, a special "Special Committee Section" was set up to manage these funds, and the manager was Ren Bishi.
Once, Jiang Qing wanted to buy a wool coat and wanted to use cloth as a shed to block the sun, but Ren Bishi did not agree. "The soldiers ahead don't even have to wear clothes, you don't want to be too that."
Another time, Jiang Qing bought something that should not be bought, and asked the Special Council Section to reimburse him, and Ren Bishi supported the comrades in charge of the accounts and refused Jiang Qing's request. Jiang Qing was so angry that he overturned the table. Later, Mao Anying, who was still familiar with the general situation, came over and cleaned up the room. When Chairman Mao learned of this, he praised Ren Bishi. However, Jiang Qing always held a grudge in his heart, and many years later he persecuted Ren Bishi's family.

Years of hard work seriously affected Ren Bishi's health, and everyone advised him to take a break, but he did not listen. Soviet doctors once came to Yan'an to examine the bodies of the five secretaries, and found that the most serious problem was Ren Bishi, the youngest.
In addition to high blood pressure and diabetes, Ren Bi also had arterial arteriosclerosis, and his condition was very serious. Zhou Enlai found five doctors to discuss together, and everyone unanimously suggested that Ren Bishi be allowed to rest.
However, there are so many things waiting to be handled, where can Ren Bishi calm down and rest? He braced himself and assisted Zhou Enlai in handling various affairs.
The last stretch of the journey from Xibaipo to Beiping to Victory was completed by Ren Bishi lying on the car.
On October 1, 1949, the People's Republic of China was founded. Chairman Mao, Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi, Zhu De, and other state leaders climbed the Tiananmen Tower to attend the founding ceremony. Among the five secretaries, only one Ren Bishi was missing.
Prior to this, Chairman Mao and others consulted the doctor, who thought that Ren Bishi could not be too excited and advised him not to participate. Ren Bishi insisted on going, and for the sake of his health, Chairman Mao had no choice but to issue a ban, forbidding Ren Bishi to attend the founding ceremony and asking him to take care of his body as the first priority.
On the day of the founding ceremony, Ren Bishi was lying on a hospital bed, guarding the radio, and when he heard Chairman Mao solemnly announce that "the Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China has been established today," he clasped his wife's hand tightly, and the tears could not stop flowing down.
At the end of October 1949, at the request of the central authorities, soviet doctors rushed to Beijing to examine Ren Bishi. The diagnosis was not optimistic, and two Soviet doctors recommended that Ren Bishi go to Moscow for treatment for three months.
Therefore, Chairman Mao personally telephoned Stalin and confirmed that Ren Bi would be sent to the Soviet Union for medical treatment. Before leaving, Premier Zhou came to give him a passport, and Chairman Mao personally came to visit him at his apartment.
Ren Bishi set out for the Soviet Union
When Ren Bishi arrived in the Soviet Union, it was early December, and it was not long before Chairman Mao came to visit the Soviet Union and personally went to the hospital to visit Ren Bishi.
Ren Bishi did not idle during his convalescence, he was not only worried about domestic work, but also seriously studied the post-war recovery and construction of the Soviet Union, hoping to learn from it.
By May of the following year, Ren Bishi had completely lost his eagerness to return to China. The doctor did a comprehensive examination of him and also thought that his condition had improved greatly.
So, on May 28, Ren Bishi returned to Beijing with a medical examination report and a doctor's instruction that "he should not work more than 4 hours a day", and Zhu De, Nie Rongzhen, Chen Chunying and the children were already looking forward to it on the platform.
As soon as Ren Bishi returned to China, he asked to start work immediately. Although Chairman Mao asked him to obey the doctor's instructions and work only four hours a day, Ren Bi forgot the time as soon as he got to work.
At that time, the situation in Korea was becoming more and more serious, and the Party Central Committee had been discussing whether or not to send troops, and for several days in a row, meetings were often held until late at night, and Ren Bishi participated in every time to study the war situation and discuss countermeasures with everyone. By this time, he had completely forgotten that he was a patient and was preoccupied with work.
In early October, Premier Zhou secretly traveled to the Soviet Union to negotiate war with Stalin. Before leaving, he specially went to visit Ren Bishi, but when Ren Bishi was in surgery, the premier only saw Chen Chunying.
Premier Zhou asked him to take the report of his illness when he took office, and he was ready to take it to the Soviet Union and ask the doctors there to give a good treatment plan. Due to the tight time, the prime minister could not stay long, and Chen Chunying also advised him to hurry up.
After Ren Bishi's surgery, Chen Chunying told him about the premier's visit. Ren Bishi replied weakly, "It's good not to see him, I can't do anything, I don't want him to see me like this now." ”

On the second day of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Ren Bishi's condition suddenly deteriorated. Although after all-out rescue, this time, Ren Bishi still failed to survive after all.
On his deathbed, Premier Zhou, who had just returned to Beijing from the Soviet Union, came to visit him, and Chairman Mao and Liu Shaoqi also came. Commander-in-Chief Zhu De, because he was busy coordinating the Korean war, could not open his body to visit. At that time, Ren Bishi had been in a coma for several days, and he was always hanging his breath. As everyone knows, he has a concern in his heart and can't leave with peace of mind.
Zhu De was 18 years older than Ren Bishi, and the two were as close as brothers, who once fought side by side, ate and lived together. When Zhang Guotao was engaged in a split, Zhu De and Ren Bishi joined forces to fight against him; when he crossed the meadow, Ren Bishi's wife Chen Chunying had just given birth to his daughter Ren Yuanzheng, and without grain, Zhu De tried every means to go to the swamp to catch small fish, personally boiled soup, and let Chen Chunying and his daughter eat it; when Ren Yuanzheng grew up, he became a regular visitor to the Zhu family and called Zhu De daddy; when he was in Yan'an, Zhu De and Ren Bishi jointly assisted Chairman Mao in carrying out a large-scale production campaign. In their free time, the two walked and chatted together, and also went to a shooting range game to shoot.
For Ren Bishi's body, Zhu De has always been very concerned. When Ren Bi was recuperating in Yuquan Mountain, no matter how busy Zhu De was, he would find an opportunity to come and visit him, play chess, chat, and walk with him.
Ren Bishi and Zhu De were in Yan'an
When Ren Bishi returned from the Soviet Union, it was also Zhu De who personally went to pick up the station. At that time, Jude was already a 64-year-old man.
At this time, Ren Bishi, who was already on his deathbed, may also be looking forward to the arrival of Zhu De, who was like a brother!
Finally, Judd hurriedly arrived! He hurried to Ren Bishi's hospital bed, shouting as he walked, "Bishi, Bishi, I'm coming to see you!" ”
It was this sentence that made Ren Bishi, who had been unconscious for many days, instantly wake up, he sat up violently, fell down with a thud, and never woke up again.
This scene made the eldest daughter Ren Yuanzhi who was standing next to him remember deeply.
On October 27, at the age of 46, Ren Bishi passed away forever, leaving his beloved wife and children and his close comrades who had fought alongside him for more than thirty years. He was also the first leader to fall after the founding of New China.
After Ren Bishi's death, Chairman Mao personally supported the coffin, and Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi, Zhu De, and others insisted on it.

From joining the revolution at the age of 16 to his death at the age of 46, Ren Bishi devoted his life to the country and was a model for everyone to learn.
On the first anniversary of Ren Bishi's death, Premier Zhou went to visit his family. Premier Zhou, who has always been calm and introverted, hugged the children and couldn't help but cry bitterly.
Although Ren Bishi has passed away, his spirit has always stayed in the hearts of everyone, inspiring everyone to move forward courageously!
