Both Wang Mingzhang, who was heroic and righteous on the battlefield, and Zhang Zizhong, who severely damaged the Banyuan Division at the Battle of Taierzhuang, are all national heroes of China.
However, after the end of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Kuomintang reactionaries did not change their minds, pursued a dictatorial policy, and provoked a civil war in spite of the anti-war sentiment of the people of the whole country.
But this is different from fighting the Japanese, who are Chinese soldiers with conscience who, while disappointed in the Kuomintang, began to throw themselves into the arms of our party. It has not only promoted the course of our revolution, but has also greatly reduced the losses of our Party.
Among the generals of the uprising, there was a Kuomintang general named Zeng Zesheng, who was not only awarded the rank of lieutenant general after the founding of the country, but even Marshal Peng Dehuai bowed to him!

Zeng Zesheng was born in a landlord family in Yongshan County, Yunnan Province, and the family was prosperous under the management of his father, and by the time he was born, the family had grown into a large family of nearly forty people.
The good times did not last long, and his father died when Zeng Zesheng was one year old, and the family fell into this. Watching the days deteriorate, his mother remarried with the young Zeng Zesheng, and this remarriage also brought him the darkness of childhood.
The stepfather scolded the stepson who had no blood relationship with him, and the mother also ignored Zeng Zesheng after the birth of the stepfather's child. In addition, the remarriage of women at that time called for chaste and martyr women was undoubtedly criticized, and Zeng Zesheng also needed to face the guidance of the outside world.
The snub of his family and the insults of others made him stronger, and he knew that the only thing that changed all this was reading. But this only hope was also snuffed out when he was 13 years old, and his stepfather no longer allowed him to study, which was like a thunderbolt on a sunny day for Zeng Zesheng.
Fortunately, he had the support of his uncle, who not only helped him persuade his stepfather, but also gave him financial assistance. Zeng Zesheng went to Zhaotong, hundreds of miles away from home, to study, and finally got rid of the shackles of family society.
When he graduated from high school with excellent grades and wanted to enter kunming to attend middle school, his stepfather once again interrupted his financial support, and Zeng Zesheng, who was eager to study, chose to steal money.
Shortly after arriving in Kunming with the 200 yuan he stole from his stepfather, he was wanted by the government and brought back to his hometown. Zeng Zesheng once again ate a severe beating from his stepfather, but he did not say a word, his eyes were full of sadness and indignation, and later with the help of his uncle, he went back to middle school.
A year later, his stepfather "repeated the same technique", interrupting his source of livelihood. At this time, Zeng Zesheng was already 20 years old, and his stepfather's tricks were harmless to him, so he voluntarily dropped out of school, chose to abandon his pen and join tang Jiyao's troops in Yunnan.
The changes brought about by this transformation may have surprised him, and his military talent was extremely high, and his understanding of strategy exceeded that of most officers. He was sent to the Tangwu Hall for further study, and later officially entered the Whampoa Military Academy by chance.

In 1927, Zeng Zesheng graduated from the Whampoa Military Academy, and in this year, the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party broke down, and the Kuomintang reactionaries began to hunt down and kill the Chinese Communist Party.
Just out of the campus, he still kept in mind that Mr. Sun Yat-sen's "revolution has not yet succeeded, comrades still have to work hard", the Chinese revolution has not yet succeeded, the Kuomintang reactionaries have begun to engage in civil unrest, which is really disappointing to him, he returned to his hometown and joined the ranks of the warlord Long Yun.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Zeng Zesheng was already the commander of the 1085th Regiment of the 194th Division of the 60th Army of the National Revolutionary Army, and as a representative of the Dian warlords, he went to the front line to participate in the Battle of Taierzhuang.
During the battle, Zeng Zesheng led his subordinates to fight bloodily, lost their positions and then engaged in street battles with the enemy, and when all the ammunition was finished, he, as the leader of the regiment, took the lead in hand-to-hand combat, and they responded to the enemy with bayonets, bricks, and fists.
But it was under such bad circumstances that the Chinese army successfully won the Battle of Taierzhuang and won the greatest victory since the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. Zeng Zesheng also experienced this battle and was promoted to division commander. After that, he traveled to major anti-Japanese battlefields, and he could be seen in the Battle of Wuhan, the Battle of Nanchang, and the Battle of Changsha.
In 1944, Tsang Wassan was promoted to commander of the 60th Army and led his troops into Vietnam to cooperate with the counter-offensive of the Chinese Expeditionary Force. Until 1945, when Japan announced its surrender, the 14-year-long War of Resistance finally declared victory, but just when all of China was immersed in the joy of victory, the sky of Chongqing was shrouded in a large dark cloud.

In order to seize the opportunity when the civil war broke out, Chiang Kai-shek began to drag the Chinese Communists along the side on the grounds of peace talks, and behind his back, he actively dispatched troops and sent his troops who had been far away in the southwest and northwest into the former Japanese-occupied areas, and Zeng Zesheng was also ordered to go to the northeast and deploy at Anshan.
At this time, the atmosphere of corruption within the Kuomintang also spread, and for such a bad and chaotic party, once the dictatorship was truly established, the consequences would be unimaginable.
In contrast, in the CPC's rural revolutionary base areas, in the campaign to crack down on local tycoons and divide up the land, the relations between the military and the people have been greatly improved, and the peasants have enthusiastically joined the army, and there is a thriving atmosphere.
Moreover, for the civil war, for the fratricide, Zeng Zesheng really did not want to kill the killer.
By 1948, under the management of the Communist Party, the strength of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party had undergone a complete reversal. Chiang Kai-shek's once proud Central Army was defeated by the plaster of the Platon Army, and the Kuomintang was gone. During this period, Zeng Zesheng had many contacts with the Communist Party and already had the idea of an uprising in his heart.
At this time, the People's Liberation Army had already surrounded Changchun, and Zeng Zesheng sent his cronies to contact our army, and the two sides drew up an uprising.
In October, Zeng Zesheng led his troops to withdraw from the eastern defense zone of Changchun and handed it over to the People's Liberation Army, and the troops went to Jiutai for a formal uprising. The uprising invalidated Chiang Kai-shek's layout in the northeast, greatly promoted the progress of the War of Liberation, and then followed the People's Liberation Army south to participate in the battle to liberate all of China.

In 1950, when the United States intervened in the Korean War and northern China was in jeopardy, Zeng Zesheng was ordered to lead the 50th Army into the Korean War. His 50th Army was the first to invade Seoul, the first to completely annihilate the British tank battalion, the first to expel the American army to South Korea, the first to resist the counterattack of the American army, and the first to recover many islands on the Korean Peninsula.
After hearing this, Commander-in-Chief Peng Dehua couldn't help but give a thumbs up and bow to the 50th Army, representing their affirmation.
At the conferment ceremony in 1955, Zeng Zesheng was awarded the rank of lieutenant general.
It is true that the Kuomintang provoked a civil war, but it was also true that they resisted the war, which we must admit and that history cannot erase. As for Zeng Zesheng and other generals who revolted in the civil war, we should also be sure that without their uprising, there would be more bloody drifting.
