Sheng Zijin may not have heard of this person, but his life was quite tortuous, he was once a communist, but after being captured by Kuomintang agents, he defected and became a spy of the military command. During the Anti-Japanese War, he went to Anhui on the orders of Dai Kasa to monitor the Gui clan, and in order to survive, he chose to unite with the New Fourth Army.
This man still had some ability, and in a very short period of time he pulled up a team of more than four thousand people, but because of his friendly relationship with our party, he completely angered Li Pinxian of the Gui clan, and while announcing that he was wanted, he also sent people to kill him. However, those who sneaked in did not find Sheng Zijin, but mistakenly killed his secretary.
These acts made Sheng Zijin dare not stay in Anhui any longer, so he confessed his orders and handed over all his men to the New Fourth Army.

Born in 1906 in Hexian County, Anhui Province, Sheng Zijin was admitted to the Whampoa Military Academy at the age of 20, thus embracing Marxist ideas, but unfortunately he was not firm.
After the Kuomintang launched a counter-revolutionary coup in 1927, Sheng Zijin was unfortunately arrested, and he chose to break away from the Communist Party without much hesitation. After that, while opening a factory in Shanghai, he secretly worked for the Kuomintang secret service system.
He was friends with Dai Kasa at the Whampoa Military Academy, so Dai Kasa was very helpful to him, and in 1938 Sheng Zijin married Yang Wenwei, a disciple of Dai Kasa, and the relationship between the two became even closer. There is a special radio station in Sheng Zijin's home, which can be directly contacted with Dai Kasa.
Not long after the marriage, Sheng Zijin and his wife received orders to go to Anhui to serve as the governor of Lu'an County, Sheng Zijin was originally from Anhui, and this appointment seemed to be no problem, but he still took a secret mission on this trip.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Anhui was basically placed in the Gui clan's sphere of influence, and Chiang Kai-shek had always had little trust in these local power factions, and the duty of the military command was to spy on them.
On the way to his post, Sheng Zijin's state of mind changed greatly, and his patriotism was thoroughly stimulated by the tragic phenomena after the Japanese invasion, so he had some hatred for those things that were vying for power and profit, and began to join hands with our party to resist Japan.
After Sheng Zijin arrived in office, he soon united with the communist-led anti-Japanese guerrillas, and the two sides drove the Japanese from Lu'an City.
This was in the early days of the Japanese Kou's fierceness, although Sheng Zijin only recovered a county town, but it was enough to shine, so he became famous in an instant. It was precisely because of this that Sheng Zijin was targeted by Li Pinxian, chairman of the Kuomintang's Anhui Province and an important general of the Gui clan.
Li Pinxian was notoriously anti-communist, and he was very disliked for Sheng Zijin's cooperation with our party, and he knew that Sheng Zijin and his wife were military commanders with missions, so Li Pinxian found an excuse to transfer Sheng Zijin to northeastern Anhui and become the sixth administrative district and security commander, the county magistrate of Six county, and the commander of the guerrilla column in the fifth theater.
Si County is very close to the Japanese occupation zone, and Li Pinxian hopes to use the hands of the Japanese to get rid of Sheng Zijin.
Although he knew Li Pinxian's purpose, Sheng Zijin did not resign, he went to northeast Anhui to vigorously publicize the anti-Japanese resistance, with the help of the CCP's strength to collect a lot of local miscellaneous armed forces, in just a few months from more than a dozen people to six detachments of more than 4,000 people.
However, the leaders of these six detachments have very close relations with our party, and the Anhui Provincial Working Committee of the CPC has also sent many political work cadres to Sheng Zijin's troops, including Jiang Shangqing.
Jiang Shangqing won the favor of Sheng Zijin by virtue of his outstanding ability, so he became the secretary of the Sixth Administrative District Commissioner's Office and deputy commander of security, and the director of the political department of the Fifth Guerrilla Column Headquarters.
From the positions of Sheng Zijin and Jiang Shangqing, it can be seen that the relationship between the two is very unusual.
At the suggestion of Jiang Shangqing, Sheng Zijin founded the Northeast Anhui Military and Political Cadre School, the Northeast Anhui Daily, and the Northeast Anhui Anti-Japanese Cultural Service Society, vigorously publicizing the Communist Party's anti-Japanese national united front policy and making the anti-Japanese situation in northeast Anhui flourish.
After Zhang Aiping came to northeast Anhui, she saw that Sheng Zijin was a person to win, so she went to Si County to talk with Sheng Zijin in the name of the chief of staff of the New Fourth Army.
Sheng Zijin was still full of vigilance against Zhang Aiping at first, but after some conversation, Sheng Zijin was very convinced of Zhang Aiping's anti-Japanese trend, and both of them had the intention of seeing each other and hating each other.
A few days later, Zhang Aiping found Sheng Zijin again, discussed the cooperation between the two ministries to resist Japan without friction, and signed a special agreement.
Such a situation Li Pinxian did not expect, he thought that Sheng Zijin would die in northeast Anhui, but he did not expect that the other party had taken root in Anhui. Enraged, he sent three telegrams to Sheng Zijin in a row, and in a strong tone, asked Sheng Zijin to rush to Jinzhai to explain the issue of cooperation with the Chinese Communists.

Li Pinxian was even more angry when he saw this, and ordered sheng zijin to be removed from all his posts, and at the same time had ma Xinting, a general of the Gui clan, lead a battalion to replace him.

Zhang Aiping saw his attitude and knew that it would be easy to deal with the next step, so she advised: To advance is to unite with the anti-Japanese resistance to resist foreign insults and achieve a great cause with us; to retreat, there is only one way to die, and to die in the struggle for power among friends and parties. Where to go, you have to think twice!
Sheng Zijin's face was cloudy and uncertain, and he gritted his teeth and said: "Okay, then do it with them!"
With this statement, Zhang Aiping began to work on the war situation, and he summoned Hu Bingyun of the Suluyu detachment of the Eighth Route Army, Wei Guoqing of the southward detachment, Zhao Huichuan, commander of the 3rd regiment of the Anti-Japanese Resistance In Suxian County, and Sha Feng, commander of the 1st regiment of the sixth detachment of the New Fourth Army, to discuss the offensive route.
In less than two hours, our army surrounded the Dabaixu regiment, and under the strong artillery fire, the enemy could not resist at all, and quickly lost.
This battle made Li Pinxian want to solve Sheng Zijin completely, and in the name of the chairman of Anhui Province, he ordered the arrest of Sheng Zijin for the crime of "colluding with traitors to resist the national army".

Zhang Aiping saw that he hesitated and did not face him, so she asked the other party to think about it and then reply.
As soon as Sheng Zijin left, Zhang Aiping immediately reported the situation to his superiors, and he expected that Sheng Zijin would not stay in the New Fourth Army, because "although Sheng Zijin was anti-Japanese, he had great personal ambitions and wanted to use the Communist Party to melt us into his cadres." He often said to our people, 'The Communist Party does not want three, does not want money, does not want beauty, does not want status, why bother?' Keep up with me, you won't suffer. It alerted me that he was a dangerous man. ”
The organization also quickly responded, allowing the Northeast Anhui Special Committee to quickly control Sheng Zijin's troops and not be taken away by a single soldier.
After Sheng Zijin returned to the army, his ass was still hot, and Yang Chun, a special commissioner of northeast Anhui Province, entered the house to test: The brothers have heard that Li Pinxian wants you, and now everyone is saying that you should take us to join the New Fourth Army, but they have turned against him! I wonder what the commander thinks?
At that time, although our party was able to control several detachment leaders, many middle-level and low-level officers were still willing to listen to Sheng Zijin's words, so if he made trouble, things would be very troublesome.
Fortunately, Sheng Zijin was also very aware of the situation, and simply handed over more than 4,000 people under his command to our party, saying: Sheng Mou is incompetent, leaving the brothers with no place to live. If you want to join the New Fourth Army, I will never stand in the way.
So the next day, more than 4,000 people under Sheng Zijin's command were led by underground COMMUNIST Party members Yang Chun, Wu Yun Estate and others to accept the reorganization of the New Fourth Army. Sheng Zijin fled northeast Anhui with only his wife and guards.
As soon as Sheng Zijin left, the Kuomintang's power in northeast Anhui collapsed in an instant, and Zhang Aiping, on the basis of Sheng Zijin's stay, established an anti-Japanese base area in northeast Anhui, including 5 counties and 16 districts, in only 3 months.
In this way, the establishment of the anti-Japanese base area in northeast Anhui is also a great credit to Sheng Zijin.
