On the morning of June 5, Kang Jie, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, secretary of the Municipal Discipline Inspection Commission and director of the Municipal Supervision Commission, led relevant personnel to Ningqiang to inspect the treatment of the tailings reservoir, flood control, college entrance examination and industrial economic operation of the mine. Chen Jianbin, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress and secretary of the county party committee, accompanied the inspection; Li Jianjun, deputy secretary of the county party committee and county governor; Gong Xinwei, member of the standing committee of the county party committee and executive deputy county governor; and Zhang Jie, member of the standing committee of the county party committee, secretary of the county discipline inspection committee, and director of the county supervision commission, accompanied the inspection.
Kang Jie and his party first came to the county emergency management bureau, inspected the rectification of potential safety hazards in the tailings reservoir, daily supervision and flood prevention and flood preparedness through the command platform, viewed the video surveillance and duty records, and listened to the progress report on the treatment of the tailings reservoir in Ningqiang County. He pointed out that the safety responsibility of tailings reservoirs is heavy, and all relevant departments at all levels should attach great importance to it, tighten the responsibility of compacting supervision, strengthen the safety management of tailings reservoirs, normally promote governance and restoration, continue to improve the level of comprehensive management of the ecological environment, and make every effort to ensure the safety of reservoir areas and upstream and downstream.
At the county flood prevention office, Kang Jie and his party inspected the flood prevention duty with shifts, radar echo maps, and satellite cloud maps, carefully inquired about the actual monitoring of rain and flood conditions, and connected the duty personnel of Juting Town on the spot to understand the flood preparedness situation. Kang Jie pointed out that the college entrance examination concerns thousands of households and is a major event of great concern to the whole society.
