The monk Gelinqin was an important general in the late Qing Dynasty, who commanded heavy troops in the Qing court and was deeply favored by the two emperors, Daoguang and Xianfeng.

During his lifetime, Senggelinqin participated in countless wars and made outstanding achievements. In 1855, due to the defeat of the Northern Expeditionary Army of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and the capture of Lin Fengxiang and Li Kaifang, the monk Greenqin was successfully promoted to prince. However, in the battle against the Anglo-French army in 1860, Senggelinqin was defeated in Tianjin, Zhangjiawan, and Baliqiao, which caused the complaints of the lord and the ministers. Eventually, the Anglo-French forces invaded Beijing, and the monk Gelinqin was stripped of his knighthood.
Although he was knighted, the monk Gelinqin was still an indispensable general in the Qing court. In the same year, due to the uprising of the Twister Army in Zhili, Shandong and other places, the monk Greenqin was restored to his knighthood and quickly went to the battlefield to quell the chaos.
As everyone knows, this time the quelling of the chaos also caused this famous general of the late Qing Dynasty to lose his life. And what was even more embarrassing was that he was actually in the wheat field, and he was easily cut off by a teenager named Zhang Pixiu of the Twister Army. What's going on? In the early days of the suppression of the Twist, Senggelinqin led the Mongol cavalry and the troops of the five provinces to defeat the Twist army many times, and successively recruited and scattered nearly 300,000 twist troops. Despite the heavy losses of the Twister Army, they were very tenacious and never completely eliminated.
In the Qing court at that time, in addition to the monk Gelinqin, the most severe suppression of the peasant uprising was Zeng Guofan. Because the Twist army was not destroyed for a long time, the Qing court decided to send Zeng Guofan, who had just quelled the Southern Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement, to the north to assist the monk Greenqin in suppressing the Twist.

The monk Gelinqin always looked down on the Han generals. In his opinion, Zeng Guofan's going north was undoubtedly an insult to him. Therefore, the eager monk Greenqin decided to speed up the process of eliminating the Twist Army, and must complete the task before Zeng Guofan's army arrived.
It was also because of his eagerness that the monk Greenqin was introduced by the twister general Zhang Zongyu to the high-rise village of Caozhou in Shandong, and was completely surrounded by the twister army.
It is worth mentioning that before the Twister Alliance advocated that Lexing had been captured by the monk Greenqin and sentenced to ling chi, Zhang Zongyu, who commanded the Twisting Army in Cao Prefecture, was Zhang Lexing's nephew. It is also because of the tragic death of his uncle that Zhang Zongyu hates the monk Greenqin to the bone. Finally, Zhang Pixiu, a 16-year-old general of the Twist army, found a Qing general wearing a yellow coat in a wheat field. He didn't know who it was, and without saying a word, he went up and gave the Qing general a knife, which resulted in the man's life. Zhang Pixiu put the Qing general's hat, beads, and flowers on his body and returned to the army to resume his life. After confirmation, the Qing general was none other than the monk Gelinqin.
The monk Greenqin, who was in the limelight, died at the hands of an unknown pawn.
The news that Zhang Pixiu had killed the monk Greenqin soon reached the capital, and the Qing court was shocked. Although Zhang Pixiu's name is unknown, the Qing court still issued a high reward to avenge the monk Greenqin.
After the defeat of the Twist army, Zhang Pixiu had to choose to retire to the mountains and forests and hide his name because of his reputation. He renamed himself Zhang Lingyun, not only married his wife and had children, but also opened a grain mill and lived an ordinary life. Zhang Pixiu had never mentioned the killing of the monk Greenqin. After all, the curse came from the mouth, and he himself understood this truth.
But there are no impermeable walls under the heavens. Once, when he was drinking with the grain mill guys, because he had two more drinks, he talked about the killing of the monk Greenqin. As a result, this matter was soon discovered by the eyes and ears of Ding Baozhen, the inspector of Shandong. Zhang Pixiu's entire family was arrested, and he himself was executed by Ling Chi.
