The original opera "Wang Guangqi" premiered in Chengdu

The original opera "Wang Guangqi", jointly produced by the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, the Propaganda Department of the Wenjiang District Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Sichuan Academy of Culture and Arts, premiered at the Chengdu City Concert Hall on the evening of October 7. It is reported that the play is the outstanding drama exhibition and performance season of Sichuan Province to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and tells the story of Mr. Wang Guangqi, an outstanding revolutionary pioneer, patriotic social activist and outstanding musicologist in China.

The whole drama takes Wang Guangqi's life of pursuing ideals and seeking the road to national salvation as the main line, starting from Wang Guangqi's founding of the Young Chinese Society and the establishment of the Work-study Mutual Aid Society, and traces back to studying in Germany, experiencing the division of the society, the failure of love, and extreme constraints and difficult choices, and the process of growing from a social activist to a pioneer of national musicology in China.

The relevant person in charge of the Art Department of Sichuan Conservatory of Music said that the performance of the opera "Wang Guangqi" aims to combine the study and education of party history, inherit and carry forward Chinese culture, praise glorious history, inherit red genes, recall the glory of the years, and adhere to the original heart.
