Zheng Xuan had a feeling in his hometown

When reading the complete biography of Emperor Wu of Han, there is a reference to Zheng Xuan's work as an example.

Because after all, Zheng Xuan and Emperor Wu of Han were not in the same era, so there was not much narration. But for me, a reader, it caused a lot of excitement, because I was from Zheng Xuan's hometown, and I naturally felt that Zheng Xuan was so familiar, but I was ashamed not to know Zheng Xuan.

Zheng Xuan is a native of Gaomi Xixiang, there is a village called Zheng Gong Village in Gaomi XiXiang, Zheng Xuan was born here, and now the village has preserved and added the "Zheng Gong Ancestral Hall". In the 1990s, when I was still in high school, I rode a bicycle with my classmates to visit the Zheng Gong Temple, which was still very shabby and unmanaged, and it seemed bleak. Because of his youth and ignorance, he did not have much understanding of Zheng Xuan, but just visited it as an attraction. What is even more ashamed is that he did not visit again in the next few decades, although he returned to Zheng Xuan's hometown every year.

Zheng Xuan was born in 127 AD and died in 200 AD, the character Kangcheng, was a Confucian scholar and scribe at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. He did not want to be an official but concentrated on academics, determined to devote himself to the study of scriptures, and had a certain degree of achievement in scripture. During his fourteen years of imprisonment, he broke the regular family law, annotated and wrote "more than a million words", founded "Zheng Xue", and made unparalleled contributions in the history of China's regular development.

During the Tang Zhenguan period, Zheng Xuan was among the twenty-two "first teachers" and deserved to enjoy the Confucius Temple. During the Song Dynasty, he was posthumously honored as Gao Mibo. Later generations built the Zheng Gong Ancestral Hall to commemorate it. Now the "Zheng Gong Ancestral Hall" has been renovated and added, and has become the most famous cultural garden in Gaomi Xixiang.

Now in order to commemorate Zheng Xuan, but also to publicize Zheng Xuan, there is a "Kangcheng Street" in Gaomi City, and there is a "Kangcheng Middle School". This "Kangcheng Middle School" is on Kangcheng Street, and it is a reconstruction of my alma mater. My alma mater was originally Gaomi County No. 4 Middle School (Gaomi No. 4 Middle School), which was located in Zheng Xuan's hometown, and later Gaomi No. 4 Middle School was relocated to the county seat, and the name was changed to "Kangcheng Middle School".

As a fellow villager in Zheng Xuan's hometown, but it is really a little ashamed that Zheng Xuan did not have a deep understanding, the next time you return to Zheng Xuan's hometown, you must visit again, study in depth, tell Zheng Xuan's story well, and spread Zheng Xuan's thoughts.
