Wang Pei's family was poor, so he cultivated it himself, and his students secretly harvested wheat for him, and he threw it away. Old friends gave him gifts, and he did not accept them. His students were arrested by the servants, and the students asked Wang Pei to use his influence to write a letter to the county order to plead, but he refused, but Wang Pei was not a ruthless person, leaving the students alone, but carrying enough food and daily necessities for the student's service on foot, personally sending him to serve in the county court, and more than a thousand disciples followed him all the way. Wang's humility and high cleanliness made the county commander ashamed and ordered the student to be released home.
After Wang's mother died, he kept filial piety for her as usual and built a thatched hut next to her mother's tomb to live in it. When his mother was alive, she was afraid of thunder, so whenever the thunderstorm came, Wang Pei cried around the tomb: "Mother don't be frightened, the son is here!" The thunder didn't stop, and his cries kept coming.
