The fragrance of "lotus" overflows and flutters in the breeze
In the southwest corner of the intersection of Malianwa North Road and Shangdi West Road, there is a small square of more than 1,000 square meters. Recently, it completed the upgrading and transformation, officially passed the acceptance, and became the first clean cultural square in Shangdi area, realizing a gorgeous transformation.
Nowadays, people go south along Shangdi West Road, and at the intersection with Malianwa North Road, they can see the "Incorruptible Cultural Square" under the cover of trees with "lotus flowers" and "lotus leaves".
Entering the square, a strong smell of "honesty" comes to the face: in the grass next to the walkway lies a piece of stone carvings with famous quotes written on it, the seats set up around the trees are engraved with verses of honesty and self-discipline, next to the road, there are exhibition boards of self-cultivation celebrity stories, and in the center of the square stands a lotus space related to the meaning of "honesty"... Here, you can trace the source of "incorruptibility", you can taste and read incorruptible texts, you can feel the "incorruptible" incense overflowing...

Because the community is narrow and the green leisure space is limited, it is necessary to open this square outside the community for residents to use.
The square is also in the Shangdi "downtown area", its northeast side is the Shangdi Jiahua Building, the employment crowd is concentrated, the technology companies are gathered; the east side is the Shangdi Experimental School, and the square has become a place where children must go to and from school every day.
Even in such an important location, for a long time the square was rudimentary, with old paving, little greenery, and was surrounded by high fences.
Once a high fence, now the fence is removed
Since September last year, Shangdi Street has coordinated with communities, enterprises and school students to start from road hardening, greening upgrades, facilities improvement, and the addition of integrity elements, etc., to upgrade and transform the square into a leisure and fitness cultural place that meets the needs of residents, office workers and students.
According to reports, in September last year, the street started the upgrading of the square. In line with the goal of building it into a clean cultural square integrating citizens' leisure and entertainment, character cultivation and ideological education, in the early stage of the activity, we learned about the needs of residents by doing questionnaires to residents, invited enterprises in the park to talk about the expectations of office workers, and invited middle school students to participate in the design to understand the expectations of children. Eventually, the incorruptible cultural square with the theme of "lotus" space that is now seen was formed.
Nowadays, after the transformation of the square, the high fence along the side of Mabei Road and Shangdi West Road will be completely demolished, opening the line of sight along the street and beautifying the urban landscape; the entrance and exit of the square have been added barrier-free passages to facilitate the entry and exit of residents with limited mobility; and plastic runways and night lighting facilities have been added to make it more convenient for residents' fitness and leisure needs.

After this upgrade, the square is impressively composed of blue and purple wooden boards of "born to the lotus" through the space and the "lotus" seat like a wave. And these are from a group of middle school students.
In September last year, the Incorruptible Cultural Square project was launched, and Shangdi Street walked into the Shangdi Experimental School next to the square and invited middle school students to participate in the space transformation plan.
In order to create a social atmosphere of advocating honesty and honesty, the street decided to invite middle school students to participate in the renovation and upgrading plan of the square, on the one hand, through the collection activities to publicize the integrity culture of the students, on the other hand, to let the students' creative works have room to display.
The event was warmly welcomed by the students and also stimulated the students' enthusiasm for creation. In just two weeks, the street received thousands of student submissions. In the end, the "Born to the Lotus" installation design, the "Lotus Seat" design, and the "Lotus Space" LOGO design were adopted and landed, becoming the most eye-catching place in the square.
