Appreciating abstract art is a kind of emotional stimulation, and many people like to think about the connotation of the picture with rational thinking, but often ignore the spiritual awakening brought about by the visual impulse of the moment.
The reverence for nature forced the ancestors of mankind to find a force beyond nature to protect their destiny, and the obscurantist vision led them to place such expectations on abstract figures and primitive paintings. This edition of Art Beijing continues to focus on the core competencies of human cognitive activity, returning to the original impulses of art in four groups of abstract works.

Perhaps, out of weariness with "depicting facts," some artists began to turn their attention to abstract art as a purely aesthetic activity.
Literally, "abstraction" is the "extraction" of the soul of a thing from its appearance. Abstract art, then, is not simply like or out, but the result of consciously touching and refining the inner parts of things after gaining insight into their essence. From this point of view, abstract painting can also be said to be a deep form of expression in the art of painting.

I was in the collision between objective and non-objective, and I found from it the materiality of man that I wanted to express.
——Zhu Yi
From a certain point of view, abstract painting is the unity of matter and spirit, and should not become a perceptual obstacle. Once upon a time, people began to aspire to depict the world in a non-figurative way, and saw nature as a source of power, forming a metaphysical spiritual picture. Countless artists who are well versed in this regard regard abstraction as a spiritual reality, as an alternative to external reality.

Zhu Yi is an artist of printmaking and oil painting, the founder of the Visual Arts Center of Spatial Reverse (Beijing), and the founder of Chinese Deconstruction and Reconstruction Paintingism. His work is dominated by prints and oil paintings, and he excels at highlighting the visual center with rough lines and concise colors. In his works, there are no rules of composition and color to speak of, just the chaos before the creation and the color dawn buried deep in it.

The collision of colors and the overlapping of lines are the most basic artistic language in Zhu Yi's works, and these pictures are orderly, pure, simple, and at the same time the most free artistic expression. Zhu Yi once said that technology has changed and improved life, but it has also masked the lack of emotion and anxiety. Therefore, he hopes that his works can tell people's desires and interpret people's physical and spiritual attributes.

Painting is born from the heart. Is the "mind" here the state of mind of the painter, or is it a cosmology based on ideas? In fact, the two do not have to be either/or, from one spirit to a complete painting, countless minds are abstracted into symbols of form and color. At the end of the pen, a world that only the painter can interpret, with its own rhythm and rhythm, has been born.

Cui Wantian is an independent artist, a cross-border pioneer, and the chief artist of The Momeiqi Sacred Art Calligraphy and Painting Institute. He is a doctor and professor of economics, the founder of Rongke Technology, the vice chairman of the China Software Industry Association, and the director of the Regional Research Center of Liaoning University.
Cui Wantian's works have a unique texture like nature, not completely deliberately planned, based on the exploration and manipulation of raw materials, and use brilliant colors to outline an unusually rational structure in the sensual picture. This structure stems from his faith, his will, and his humanistic knowledge reserves that are different from those of artists in the academy of fine arts.
I believe that works are alive, and that the artist, as the creator of the work, needs to give the work the freedom of life!

I like color the most, the color of oil painting brings me fun, I want to use Western artistic techniques to present the unique charm and realm of Chinese landscapes.
——Liu Wenxing
Abstract things are always shown with their unforgettable appearances, so that thoughts always stay on the surface, and it is difficult to go deep into them. But in fact, abstraction is a different way of thinking, which prompts the painter to innovate in thinking, and to realize spiritual freedom in innovation. And only those who have gained freedom in painting will realize that the world in the painting is the life of the present.

Liu Wenxing, a member of the China Artists Association, a professional painter, studied under the oil painting giant Mr. Yan Zhenduo, and is currently a visiting professor at the Beijing Foreign-related College.
Liu Wenxing incorporates the expression of Chinese ink painting into the language of his oil painting, and perfectly balances abstraction and imagery. He believes that sketching is the first feeling of a painter to obtain life, and any creative inspiration and materials need to draw strength from natural life.
Hexiang Water Rhyme, Oil on Canvas, 2016
The emergence of abstract art is like a signal of diversity of thinking, which has the body temperature emitted by human beings when they understand the world, but always shows the sense of existence of the world with a cold and arrogant face. In the eyes of contemporary artists, no matter how different and unique the abstract result is, it is still a magnificent window into the world of human thinking. Because art is never about giving answers, it's about giving people a way of thinking.
We'll see you next time.
