Taiyuan, October 1 (China News Network) -- On October 1, the Pingyao International Film Festival officially released the news that the famous film director and producer Xu Ke will attend the Fifth Pingyao International Film Festival as a "guest speaker" and hold a dialogue with director Jia Zhangke with the theme of "Director Xu Ke Talks about Hitchcock".
In the dialogue activities of this year's Pingyao Film Festival, Xu Ke specially chose the suspense thriller master Director Alfred Hitchcock as the theme, and launched a narrative and dialogue around his directorial works. He will share Hitchcock's influence on himself with the audience, explain the integration of art and business in film with Hitchcock's directing form and style, and bring new thinking to the current youth film creation.

Since the completion of his first costume feature film "Butterfly Change" in 1979, Xu Ke has added new paths to the innovation of Chinese film genres with his rich imagination. As the pioneer of the popular film series, in addition to supervising the "Hero's True Colors" series and the "Ghost of a Woman" series of films, Xu Ke has directed a number of film classics, such as "Smiling Proud of the Jianghu" and "Huang Feihong" series.
In 2011, China's first IMAX 3D film, Dragon Gate Flying Armor, directed by Xu Ke, won major awards. Since then, he has won many important awards such as the Golden Rooster Award, the Huabiao Award, and the Hong Kong Film Awards for "Wise Tiger Mountain".

The 5th Pingyao International Film Festival will be held from October 12 to 19 at the Pingyao Film Palace in the ancient city of Pingyao in Jinzhong, Shanxi.
