"ChangshengYi" is Zhu Dake's first historical magic novel, based on the historical facts of the Spring and Autumn Period, integrating history and mythology. Prior to this, he also launched a thick academic monograph "Ancient Chinese Gods".
Zhu Dake was fascinated by the martial arts novels of Jin Yong, Gu Long, and Wen Rui'an, and in the creation of "Changshengyi", he decided to adopt wuxia novels, which are originally recognized by the world as a type of chinese novel, based on his knowledge of genre literature, and tried to combine pure literary techniques with popular genre novels to infiltrate mythological history and postmodern philosophy to produce a different thing. He called it the "new martial arts novel."

Zhu Dake said that these young writers were very imaginative, but because they did not pay attention to the mythological archetypes that history had formed, they lost the beauty of history. Studying mythology, Zhu Dake has invested a lot of effort, and sometimes a 20,000-word article has 100,000 words in his desk notes. Is this kind of research tiring?" It's fun!"
