Some time ago, the newly unearthed "big-eyed" and "wide-mouthed" Sanxingdui masks triggered our attention and discussion of ancient Shu civilization and mythological stories.
In the eastern fantasy world, the elements of the "five senses" are closely related to desire and mythology.
Writer and mythology researcher Zhu Dake, in his latest collection of short and medium stories, "Six Different Records", uses the "six senses" of the senses - eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and meaning as the framework to write various stories of desires driven by the senses:
In the bag, a worn-out wolf skin hides the most hidden secret of the life of the "illusionist"; at the funeral, whether the "weeping master" cries or not determines her own life and death fate, but also has a bearing on the political situation of the entire kingdom...
All the ancient desires that appear in the legendary stories are contemporary desires. We focus on desires, but we also focus on our neglected selves.
At 19:30 on April 8 (Thursday), the Beijing News and Cultural Living Room joined hands with Dafang Live to invite Zhu Dake, author of "Six Different Records", writer Zhu Xuan, and podcast "Suddenly Left and Sudden Right" anchor Cheng Yanliang to start from the Sanxingdui mask story with us to tell the innovation of Chinese mythological stories in today's world.
