In the past, when it comes to the countryside, most people will think of dusty country roads, dilapidated and low-slung mud houses, and garbage everywhere in the alleys and alleys of the village... Nowadays, thanks to the construction of beautiful villages, these villages in Xinzhou Town have become a thing of the past. Today we walked into the village of Ojitake to see its style and the changes that have taken place in the village.
In the late autumn, walking into the Table Bamboo Village in Xinzhou Town, the small courtyards of farmhouses are scattered, and the front and back of the houses are full of greenery, a pastoral scene. In recent years, Biaozhu Village has seized the opportunity of the construction of new rural areas, and has built and improved infrastructure such as the hard-bottomed landscape greenway of the road into the village, the hardening and beautification of the ring village road, sewage treatment, public toilets, and green belt squares, and the living environment has been greatly improved, and the happiness index of the masses has been greatly improved.

This is not only the new look of the socialist new countryside, but also the base of the activities of the independent brigade, walking into this quaint courtyard covered by bamboo forests and dappled green bricks, which tells the past of 71 years ago.
In 1949, the War of Liberation entered the stage of strategic decisive battle. In the border areas of Enping, Yangjiang, and Taishan counties, a revolutionary armed contingent is active -- the "Entai" Independent Brigade of the Coastal Corps of the People's Liberation Army of Central Guangdong, which has shocked the enemy and made outstanding achievements in battle. One of the activity bases of the Independent Brigade is in the village of Ombuk, which is the former site of the Independent Brigade of the En Terrace.
After the establishment of the independent brigade, taking into account the advantages of the village of Biaozhu surrounded by water on three sides and through the mountains on the other, it was possible to form a military advantage of attacking and retreating, and in addition, the village of Biaozhu had built a traffic intelligence station in the guerrilla area of Yangdong District, and the foundation of the party members and the masses was deep, so it took root here and carried out revolutionary activities.
Originally a Ombukō Elementary School, it was built in 1941 with the help of villagers. It was not only a place where the children of the village read, but also the staff of the "Grace Balcony" independent brigade. Huang Denggao, the school's first principal, was an underground party member.
At that time, the school classroom was a barracks for the troops, and the stadium was a training ground, where the martial arts team members learned skills such as climbing walls and ladders. Most of the brilliant achievements created by the independent brigade were planned at the Ombu Elementary School, and then attacked. After the victory, the revolutionary armed forces returned to the Ombuds elementary school for recuperation.
During the Liberation War, the Independent Brigade carried out nearly 40 large and small ambush battles, experienced 18 enemy sweeps, and burned more than 30 houses in The village of Biaozhu.
We followed the director of the village exhibition hall to the exhibition hall, where many revolutionary cultural relics and related materials were exhibited, and we had a deeper understanding of the glorious years of revolutionary activities at that time.
Under the explanation of the interpreter of the exhibition hall, we learned that Biaozhu Village is an old revolutionary village, with a thick red cultural heritage and rich red cultural resources. The former site of the activities of the Independent Brigade of Qi'en Balcony bears witness to the history of the revolutionary struggle carried out by the Communist Party of China in Enping, Yangjiang and Taishan during the Liberation War.
What caught my attention were two eighty- and ninety-year-old men, who hunched over and staggered into the exhibition hall, the old man walked and stopped, stood in front of each painting and looked at it carefully, asking people while looking, because the old man spoke the local dialect of Yangjiang, I did not understand what they were talking about, and later after the local translator, I learned that the grandmother was looking for the name of her husband's eldest brother, and her uncle had participated in the revolution and died in a battle, and the age of the sacrifice was about twenty years old. Grandma later found the name of her great uncle on the list of revolutionary martyrs posted on the wall, the name of the martyr was Huang Derui, who was shot and killed in a battle in 49 years.

This time we also invited Huang Deqian, who was born in 1930 in The Village of Biaozhu, who is 91 years old this year, is one of the few old revolutionaries still existing in Yangjiang, once served as the independent captain of the Entai Ande, the chief of the Lion Company, recalling the scene of fighting wits and courage with the enemy, the old man's words are sonorous, and there is light in his eyes.
In 1947, Huang Deqian was 17 years old. At that time, the Kuomintang suffered successive fiascos on the frontal battlefield, and in order to save the defeat, the Kuomintang forcibly recruited troops, collected grain, and collected taxes in various places, coupled with the Kuomintang's "cleansing and suppression" of the Yangdong region, the people were miserable. Under such a situation, under the influence of the education of the revolutionary predecessors, Huang Deqian threw himself into the revolution and actively cooperated with the revolutionary activities in the border areas of the three counties.
In July 1948, Chen Guozhang, secretary of the Yangdong Special Administrative Region CPC Committee, and Lin Liangrong, deputy secretary of the Yangdong Special Administrative Region, led the backbone armed cadres Huang Dezhao, Li Liangsheng, Chen Sen, Peng Zhong, and others from Yangchun back to Yangdong to establish an armed stronghold and develop revolutionary forces. At the instruction of his superiors, Huang Deqian, Huang Dezhao, and Li Shui formed a group of bamboo martial arts workers to mobilize the masses in the local area to oppose the National Government's conscription, grain collection, and taxation, and secretly develop revolutionary contact points.
The timely transmission of intelligence information is an important and arduous task in the period of hostile struggle. In order to strengthen contact with the various strongholds, in early 1949, the underground party members established the Yangdong Guerrilla Zone Underground Liaison Station in The Village of Biaozhu. In less than a year, more than a dozen contact points have been built one after another, forming a secret intelligence and transportation network, which has played a major role in cooperating with the revolutionary struggle in the future.

According to Huang Deqian's recollection, Huang Lianbao, principal of The Biaozhu Primary School at that time, and teachers Huang Xuexuan and Chen Guozuo had long been educated and trained by the Yangjiang underground party, and their thinking was progressive, and they actively assisted the revolutionaries in their work. Together with the comrades of the People's Liberation Army in the evening, they distributed leaflets to the masses, conducted propaganda and education among the masses, let the masses understand the policies and propositions of the Communist Party, and won the support and support of the masses.
In the exhibition hall, we also met Huang Deqian's younger brother, the 89-year-old Huang Dejiao, and learned in the conversation with the old man Huang Dejiao that the old man participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea in 1950, at the age of 17, and gloriously joined the Communist Party of China in 54 years, and was also a revolutionary fighter.
Finally, I took a group photo of Huang Deqian and Huang Dejiao's brothers, and wished the two old revolutionaries and veteran soldiers who came out of the war forever healthy and long-lived!
Relying on precious revolutionary historical resources, Biaozhu Village combines poverty alleviation with red culture, builds a new countryside on the basis of protecting and utilizing revolutionary sites, and drives the development of the local red tourism industry.
At the same time, it will also combine the restoration of the old site with the planting of characteristic agricultural products, build a red research base, enrich the elements of cultural tourism, plan and build a red tourist resort, and help rural revitalization.
