China Kiwifruit Cold Chain Refrigeration and Packaging Seminar was successfully held

On the morning of September 11, one of the theme activities of the 2nd China Kiwifruit Expo, "China Kiwifruit Cold Chain Refrigeration and Packaging Seminar", was held in the national (Meixian) Kiwifruit Industrial Park. About 80 experts and scholars from the domestic packaging, cold chain and refrigeration industry, entrepreneurs, individual cold storage and fruit farmers attended the seminar.

At the meeting, Wang Wuqiang, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of the National (Meixian) Kiwifruit Industrial Park, delivered a welcome speech, Ren Xiaolin, professor of Northwest A&F University, Sun Deqiang, professor of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, and Li Zhiguo, chief expert of Shaanxi Agricultural Machinery Industry Technology System and professor of Northwest A&F University, respectively, made wonderful speeches on cutting-edge knowledge such as "key technology of kiwifruit refrigeration and preservation", "kiwifruit buffer and shock absorption packaging design technology and method", "kiwifruit loss prevention and preservation fast food packaging technology and equipment"; Jiang Yan, creative director of Xi'an Shifang Creative Company, Zhang Binyan of Shaanxi Meisheng Cultural and Creative Co., Ltd., and Xie Zhirui, general manager of Shaanxi Shanshui Mei Kiaw Co., Ltd., respectively shared their experience on kiwifruit packaging, cultural tourism products and brand packaging design; Liu Tao, general manager of Xi'an Zhongxi Trading Co., Ltd., Qi Chengyu, assistant general manager of Chongqing Hexing Packaging Co., Ltd., and Zhao Qiang, quality director of Shaanxi Qifeng Fruit Industry Co., Ltd., respectively gave a detailed explanation of the technical requirements for fruit export packaging cold chain (Tibet), fruit sales and packaging technology, kiwifruit refrigeration and ready-to-eat technology.

In this seminar, the participants shared the theory and practical experience of kiwifruit cold chain refrigeration and packaging, jointly discussed the development direction and trend of the kiwifruit industry in mainland China at this stage, and provided valuable opinions and suggestions for the innovation and promotion of new technologies and new models of cold chain refrigeration and packaging, and the high-quality development of the kiwifruit industry.

"Meixian kiwifruit, sweet and sour is just right." The planting area of kiwifruit in Meixian County is 302,000 mu, with an annual output of 539,000 tons and a comprehensive output value of 6 billion yuan. As a famous landmark product, Meixian County, Shaanxi Province has actively promoted the construction of kiwifruit industry chain, strengthened the construction of refrigeration and packaging facilities for agricultural products, and built 4,700 refrigeration and preservation facilities of various types in the county, with a storage capacity of 300,000 tons. It has built a "1+4+N" cold chain logistics system, and built 1 distribution hub base, 4 cold chain distribution centers and a global warehousing and logistics network. Invest 4 billion yuan to implement 56 projects such as shared controlled atmosphere cold storage and strategic reserves, and warehouses for the production of special agricultural products in Northwest China, and build the largest single kiwifruit controlled atmosphere cold storage of 60,000 tons in China. It has basically formed a kiwifruit cold chain hub with Meixian County as the center, radiating to the northwest and southwest, and connecting the whole country, with an annual trading volume of 430,000 tons. Through "extending the chain, supplementing the chain, and strengthening the chain", we will continuously improve the system of storage, refrigeration and preservation, cold chain logistics, and personalized packaging of agricultural products, so as to promote the sustainable, healthy and stable development of the kiwifruit industry.
