The reporter learned today that the State Administration for Market Regulation (National Standards Committee) recently approved the issuance of the "Greenhouse Gas Product Carbon Footprint Quantitative Requirements and Guidelines", which is a national standard for general principles of product carbon footprint accounting proposed and developed by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, which will provide unified and authoritative guidance for all parties to study and prepare specific product carbon footprint accounting standards.
The development of this standard refers to the ISO 14067 international standard issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which stipulates the research scope, principles and quantification methods of product carbon footprint, etc., and lays a foundation for the unification of product carbon footprint accounting methods and the international exchange and mutual recognition of product carbon footprint data.
·Compared with international standards, this standard adds a reference framework for the preparation of specific product carbon footprint standards, data geographic boundary information recommendations, etc., which is richer and more operational.
· The standard also stipulates the content of appraisal review, product carbon footprint declaration and specific product carbon footprint standard framework, etc., providing sufficient guidance for all parties to implement and apply the standard.
