The height of the child always makes parents full of anxiety and expectation.
Another year has passed, and many parents will measure how much their children have grown this year? Is it normal? Has there been a "dwarf cut" that has grown slower?
The latest version of the Growth Standards for Children Under 7 years of age clearly stipulates various indicators of growth and development for children of different ages. If you want to know what level of height development your child is, you can refer to this set of indicators to evaluate.
Lilac mother has sorted out the "0~7-year-old male and female baby height percentile standard table" in the new version of the standard, come and take a look.
Is the child's height up to standard?
You can see it in a table
The latest version of the "0~7 years old baby height percentile standard table" records the average height of boys and girls from birth to less than 7 years old (< 84 months old) by age.
If you sit down, you can see what level your baby's height is among your peers.

Specifically, it can be divided into 3 steps:
☝️ The first step is to select the corresponding boy or girl version of the height standard according to the baby's gender;
✌️ The second step is to find the baby's age in the first column of the table (full month or full year), look to the right, and find the corresponding average height value;
👌 The third step is to look up along the height column, and the percentile value in the first row of the corresponding table is the percentile range of the baby's height.
* Age: Refers to the period from birth to under the age of 7 (<84 months), rounded up to the whole year or month
* Length: For children under 2 years of age, i.e. the length from the top of the head to the heel in the supine position
* Height: Suitable for children under 2~7 years old, that is, the vertical height from the top of the head to the soles of the feet in the standing position

The baby's height is between the standard P3~P97 percentile, which is within the normal range.
What do the different percentiles mean? According to the evaluation indicators in the new standard, it can be understood as follows:
Percentile value
Evaluation indicators
Indicator interpretation
≥ P97
above
Babies are taller than most of their peers
P75~P97
Upper
Babies are taller than most of their peers
P25~P75
middle
Most babies of the same age are at this level
P3~P25
Lower
Slightly shorter than most of his peers
< P3
under
Shorter stature than peers
So, if my child is in the < P3 or ≥ P97 percentile, does it mean that there is an abnormality? These two conditions do indicate that your child is growing too slowly or too quickly, but that doesn't necessarily mean there's a problem.
Because the growth and development of children is affected by various factors such as genetics, nutrition, and diseases, the growth curve should be monitored regularly, and if abnormalities are found, they should be treated in time to find out the cause and intervene in time.

Is the child's height normal?
Look at the growth rate more accurately
The growth of children's height is dynamic and comprehensive, and to judge whether the height is normal, you can't just look at the absolute value of height or compare it with peers.
If you want to know if your child's height is normal, it is more accurate to see the growth rate of the individual.
Growth rate represents the growth rate of a child's height at a certain stage, and each age has a certain regularity.
Monitoring growth rate is equivalent to allowing children to "compare their height with themselves", and the most intuitive way is to see the growth trend of the growth curve.
How to look at it, it can be divided into two steps:
☝️ The first step is to see if the child's growth curve is within the normal range, lower or higher than the normal range, indicating that the growth rate is abnormal, and it is recommended to seek medical attention in time.
✌️ In the second step, if the child's growth curve is within the normal range, it is necessary to continue to monitor whether the child's growth rate is stable and normal, and it is recommended to seek medical attention to evaluate the growth and development if it is too fast or too slow.
● Normal: The growth curve is between the two percentile lines.
● Too slow: The growth curve crosses the two main percentile lines downward.
● Too fast: The growth curve spikes upwards above the two major percentile lines.
The schematic diagram of the growth curve within the normal range, from the "Growth Curve" tool of the Lilac Mother App, can automatically generate the growth curve after entering the child's height, which is convenient for monitoring the growth and development of the baby at any time.
A child's physical growth is a continuous process, the growth rate is not uniform, and fluctuations within a certain range are normal.
The growth curve is only a signal to judge whether the child's growth rate is normal or not, and it is not the only diagnostic indicator of the disease, and parents do not need to be overly anxious because of this.
I want my child to grow taller
These 3 things to do

We often say that the baby's height is "destined for seven points, and three points depend on hard work", and the acquired hard work plays a very key role in maximizing the genetics to the greatest efficiency.
Moreover, in the process of children's height development, there are two "golden periods for growing taller", which we need to fully grasp.
What age is the child's "golden period of growing taller"?
Eating, drinking and sleeping, how to arrange it to help the baby grow taller?
In terms of exercise, which exercises can be beneficial to the baby's growth?
