On August 7, vivo V40 and vivo V40 Pro were officially released overseas. While retaining the ultra-thin body, the battery capacity has been greatly increased. In addition, the new camera design is also adopted.
vivo V40 series
The vivo V40 continues to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen3 mobile platform, while the vivo V40 Pro takes a leap forward and is equipped with the Dimensity 9200+ chip, which is much stronger than the previous Dimensity 8200.
The vivo V40 and V40 Pro have the same dimensions (164.2×74.9×7.58 mm) and the same display — 6.78-inch AMOLED, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and a resolution of 2800×1260 pixels. This screen now reaches a peak brightness of 4500 nits, which is a big upgrade compared to the V30 series. It features a cut-out design in the center and contains a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 camera.
The Vivo V40 Pro has a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX921 sensor on the back, a 50MP telephoto portrait lens with a Sony IMX816 sensor, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The V40 has two rear cameras – a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The main camera supports OIS and is paired with a ring LED flash.
vivo V40 Pro
The vivo V40 series phones are all equipped with Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. Equipped with a large 5500mAh battery, this is the largest battery in the vivo V series to date. They also support 80W wired fast charging.
The vivo V40 has three memory options: 8GB/128GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB. The vivo V40 Pro is also available in three different versions: 8GB/256 GB, 12GB/256GB, or 12GB/512GB. Both phones come in Meteor Blue, Moonlight White, and Stellar Silver, and the V40 comes in two other colorways – Nebula Purple and Sunshine Pink.

In terms of price, the V40 starts at 39999 India rupees, while the V40 Pro starts at 54999 India rupees, which are about 3400 yuan and 4700 yuan respectively.
