The project is located on a seaside site on the Shenzhou Peninsula in Wanning City, 150 meters from the coastline. The original site had too many complex landscape structures and neglected tropical vegetation, which obscured the visitors' view and made it impossible to read the relationship between the man-made structures and the site environment.

This is our first collaboration with the DEDECO brand, combining the innate conditions of the project site and the brand culture, we have positioned the first store in Wanning as DEDECO Beach Club, so that visitors can no longer rush to the attractions to check in, but feel the real relaxation and slow-paced island lifestyle through space and content output. After the opening, DEDECO's hot topic traffic on social media also confirmed the feasibility of the team's original design intention.

There are pristine island buildings and landscapes, everything is taken from nature, and everything is returned to nature.

How to deal with the relationship between the man-made structure and the site environment has become the starting point of project thinking. We remove clutter that blocks the view and ensure a clear view between all areas of the venue. The sea level serves as the backdrop for the pool and stage, and the density of coconut groves does not obstruct the view of the sea. As can be seen in the original design manuscript, the second floor of the renovated bamboo and wood building has an open sunset viewing point, and the orientation of the building follows the orientation of the sunset.

The project adopts a simple architectural language: bamboo, wood and thatch are the main materials, combined with bamboo and wood bionic buildings with "coconut shell roofs", which perfectly integrate into the island landscape. In order to achieve natural, original ecology, and de-urbanization of the local scene presentation.

Multi-scene creation: indoor restaurant, swimming pool, coconut grove beach, bamboo and wood buildings. Each area has an independent scene language, avoiding homogenization in terms of tone, material, soft decoration, etc., and is interconnected to form a rich and diverse overall scene.

Compared with the traditional pool function, we hope to enrich the use scenarios of the pool and increase the dwell point and playability in the pool. The contours of the building and the pool overlap to create a sense of boundaries: the DJ stage and the eaves of the second-storey building provide shade for the pool. At the same time, underwater bar chairs, underwater beds and floating booths are set up in the shaded area, so that visitors can have more experience of using the water.

At the interface between the indoor and outdoor areas, there is a shaded transition area that is filled with soft light and shadow by filtering the intense natural light with a naturally draped canvas. When the wind picks up, one can see the shape of the wind from the swing of the canvas.
