GenG, T1, HLE and DK are the top four teams in this season's LCK, and it is also because there is no expansion of club places after the alliance, and there are still only 10 teams in the LCK, and there is no fifth strong team at all.

The biggest difference between the Chinese and Korean divisions is the number of clubs, and the LPL has expanded its quota for many years after the alliance, from the same 10 teams in the past to 17 teams now. However, due to the lack of championships in recent years, there are fewer sponsors willing to enter, and the scale of these 17 teams has been maintained for a long time.
Korea became a league much later than China, but it did not expand the club quota and has maintained 10 teams. In recent years, some clubs have changed owners, changed names, changed main sponsors, etc., which is also due to the resumption of winning the World Championship, and more people are willing to invest money. However, a number of clubs have also complained that their current profitability is not ideal, and there is not much real money in the league.
The 17-team LPL is really competitive with only about five or six teams per year, and the 10 teams in Korea are easy to see the end of the season from the regular season.
Is the fifth really good?
GenG has confirmed its qualification to the World Finals, and the remaining 3 spots in the Korea LCK this year are likely to be HLE, DK and T1. If you want to find a fifth team, you need to replace one of the three above. And counting down is KT, FOX and KDF, these three teams KT put together a mini version of the 2022DRX, just lost to the penultimate first, I really can't see any ability to replace the above HLE, DK and T1 in Bo5.
FOX and KDF have a lot of newcomers, average ceilings, inexperience, and no discussion value for teams that want nothing, because they can't beat the previous teams in Bo5 at all. The DRX, NS and BRO at the end of the crane are even worse, so the LCK really can't count the fifth strong team.
Seed order
GenG has a high probability of winning the summer tournament and getting the No. 1 seed, T1 is not only high enough to be in Bo5 but also still has the ability to enter the finals to get the No. 2 seed, HLE and DK are competing for the third and fourth seeds, the two teams are close in strength, but given that DK's upper and lower three are a little more outrageous, we think HLE is No. 3 and DK is No. 4. It's hard for KT to replace one of the three teams besides GenG. Unless the 2022 script is played out again, Beryl and Deft can really bring out another team to counterattack.
