The Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Commission and the Municipal Meteorological Bureau issued a geological disaster meteorological risk warning at 16 o'clock on August 2: from 17 o'clock on August 2 to 17 o'clock on August 3, most of Fangshan and Mentougou, northwest of Haidian, most of Changping, Yanqing, Huairou and Miyun, northeast of Shunyi, and most of Pinggu are at risk of geological disasters such as collapses and landslides (blue warning).

The main ring roads in the urban area, Lianshi East Road, Fushi Road, Wanquanhe Road, Xueyuan Road, Tonghuihe North Road and other liaison lines out of Beijing, Beijing-Tibet Jianxiang Bridge to Shangqing Bridge, Jingchengwanghe Bridge to Laiguangying Bridge, Jingkai Yuquanying Bridge to Majialou Bridge, Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Yuegezhuang Bridge to Dayao Bridge, Capital Airport Expressway Sanyuan Bridge to Wuyuan Bridge, Jingtong Express Sihui Bridge to Yuantong Bridge, Jingxin West Erqi Bridge to Jianting Bridge and other major highway sections as well as some concave overpasses, low-lying roads and other water-prone points may cause slow driving.
