From July 11th to 14th, the Academic Annual Meeting of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Nursing Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine and the Training Course on New Progress in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Nursing were successfully held in the Yellow River Guest House in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. The conference was hosted by the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Nursing Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine and undertaken by Zhengzhou Central Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University. Niu Enxi, Chairman of the Supervisory Board and full-time deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, Professor Li Jian'an, International Academician of the United States Academy of Medicine and Honorary Director of the Rehabilitation Medicine Center of Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital, Mo Li, Director of the Nursing Management and Rehabilitation Research Department of the Hospital Management Institute of the National Health Commission, Liu Yanjin, Chairman of the Henan Nursing Society, Professor Lian Hongkai, President of the Central Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University, and other leaders and experts attended the opening ceremony, and more than 60 well-known rehabilitation experts in the industry made special academic reports. More than 800 cardiopulmonary rehabilitation nursing workers from more than 30 provinces and cities across the country participated in this academic event.

Niu Enxi, chairman of the board of supervisors and full-time deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, pointed out in his speech that with the acceleration of the aging process of the population in mainland China, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation nursing plays an increasingly important role in the management of chronic cardiopulmonary diseases and functional rehabilitation. It is hoped that the special committee will continue to play a functional role, carry forward the fine tradition, actively build a professional platform, prosper academic activities, standardize talent training, empower and help the grassroots, constantly summarize successful experience, open up new fields, new directions and new mechanisms, explore innovative models for the professional development and talent training of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation nursing, deepen the cross-collaboration and integrated development between nursing disciplines and clinical medicine, and continuously promote the high-quality development of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation nursing. Professor Li Jian'an, International Academician of the United States Academy of Medicine and Honorary Director of the Rehabilitation Medicine Center of Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital, gave a keynote report on "The Vertical and Horizontal Expansion of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Nursing".

Mo Li, director of the Hospital Management Research Institute and the Department of Nursing Management and Rehabilitation Research of the National Health Commission, gave a keynote report on "Development Opportunities of Rehabilitation Nursing Based on Patients' Health Outcomes".

Professor Huang Huai, Chairman of the Intensive Care Rehabilitation Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine and Director of the Rehabilitation Department/Intensive Care Rehabilitation Center of the Southern Theater General Hospital, gave a keynote report on "New Progress in Respiratory Muscle Training for Critically Ill Patients".

Professor Weng Changshui, director of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of the Second Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital, gave a keynote report on "Formulating a Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Training Plan from the Perspective of Mitochondrial Metabolic Health".

Professor Wang Dongwei, Director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center of Zhengzhou Central Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University, gave a keynote report on "Positioning and Development of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation from ERAS".

Professor Li Xiuyun, Chairman of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Nursing Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, gave a keynote report on "Focusing on Professional Ability Training, Focusing on Improving Patient Outcomes".

Academic sub-forum
