Jin Rong was a gangster leader in Shanghai Beach during the Republic of China period, and his life experience was full of legends, and du Yuesheng and Zhang Xiaolin were known as the three tycoons of Shanghai Beach.
Jin Jinrong (1868 – June 20, 1953), originally from Yuyao, Zhejiang, was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, and came to Shanghai with his parents as a child.
Jin Rong did not like to read since childhood, in his early years as an apprentice in the Shanghai City God Temple Cuihuatang painting shop, to Shanghai all day with the hooligans, because of the "Nanjing Treaty", Shanghai was leased to countries for trade and trade, the place is full of opportunities.
In 1900, in order to manage the French Concession in Shanghai, the French recruited 120 Chinese patrols, including Jin Jinrong, of whom Jin Rong did a good job, and soon became plainclothes detectives from the original grass-roots patrol.

Coincidentally, one day Lu Lanchun did not pay attention and sang a piece of drama away from the board. Lu Xiaojia drank in a strange way in the audience. At this time, Jin Rong was sitting in the box of the main hall watching the play, when he heard that his favorite Lu Lanchun had been drunk, he was so angry that he was furious, and in a hurry, he sent his men to give Lu Xiaojia two big mouths. Lu Xiaojia saw that there were many thugs, and he only brought two bodyguards with him, so he left sadly.
A few days later, when Jin Rong finished dinner and walked into the box with four personal bodyguards, Lu Xiaojia led more than a dozen gendarmes to ambush and capture Jin Rong, Lu Xiaojia held Jin Rong's head with a pistol, and then carried him out to leave, and at the same time asked the people under his hands to smash the Shanghai Theater.
Offending the warlord, this is a dead end, Lin Guisheng entrusted the big relationship, found Lu Yongxiang's mother, sent two big gifts, one is a golden Buddha statue more than a foot high, the other is a verdant glass bead jade, the old lady got these two gifts, she opened her mouth to promise her son to release people, on the other side Zhang Xiaolin (Du Yuesheng married his brother and then turned to Japan to be a traitor) ran to Suzhou with a villa title deed, found Lu Yongxiang and pleaded with him to release people, Lu Yongxiang smiled and accepted the land title, promised to release people in a few days.

Due to the arrest and dismissal of Lin Guisheng, Jin Rong's reputation began to plummet among the disciples, and he was gradually suppressed by Du Yuesheng.
Soon after Jin Rong and Lu Lanchun got married, Lu Lanchun fell in love with Xue Heng, the comprador of Defu Foreign Firm. Decided to elope, and then Lu Lanchun swept away all the valuable things in the Huang Mansion, including various account books and secret letters of Jin Rong, once these things were leaked, Jin Rong did not have to mix in Shanghai Beach.
Although Du Yuesheng later recovered the ledger secret letter, Jin Jinrong, under the multiple blows, became depressed and began to slowly turn his focus to his own business.
On August 13, 1937, the Battle of Songhu broke out, lasted for three months, and finally ended with the fall of Shanghai, because Shanghai was the French Concession at that time, many forces were mixed, Japan needed a person with prestige and status to manage on his behalf, and then Japan expressed its intention to cooperate with Jin Rong, asking him to be the president of the maintenance association, Jin Rong refused Japan's request for national righteousness, saying that he was sick and reclusive.
Due to his refusal, Japan also began to slowly suppress his business, forced him to bow his head, under the suppression of Japan, the business of Golden Rong gradually showed a decline, and he also publicly expressed his determination not to cooperate with the Japanese many times.

On May 27, 1949, the liberation of Shanghai, on the eve of liberation, Chiang Kai-shek retreated to Taiwan, Du Yuesheng and Zhang Xiaolin prepared to flee to Hong Kong, before leaving, Du Yuesheng found Jin Rong and expressed his desire to leave together, but Jin Jin Rong thought about it and refused. At this time, Jin Rong had long lost his original ambition, and he was more afraid of death than the Communist Party trial, so he stayed.
In early 1951, after the suppression of the counter-revolutionary movement began, Jin Rong's life began to be sad, and the citizens even spontaneously flocked to the door of the Huang Mansion to demand that he accept criticism. Letters of accusation and denunciation flew into the municipal government and public security organs like snowflakes, imploring the government to be the master and avenge the people.
On May 20, 1951, Shanghai 'News Daily' and Wen Wei Po published the "Confession of Golden Rong", which instead of calming the anger of the masses, led to a bigger storm, as mentioned earlier, "Golden Rong can be killed and cannot be left behind!" The slogan resounded on the beach.

In order to appease the people's grievances, the government published a photo of the transformation of the 80-year-old Gold Rong as a manifestation of remorse, the photo of the Golden Rong is more than 80 years old, with a broom and garbage truck cleaning the street, a generation of Green Gang gangsters, and finally fell to sweeping the street, let people feel a little sad to see it.
On June 29, 1953, this once prominent figure in Shanghai Beach fell ill with fever and fell into a coma for a few days, and then closed his eyes. He was 86 years old.
