There are five levels of Chef Certification:
Junior:

Declaration conditions for vocational skill level recognition

Those who meet one of the following conditions can apply for Level 5/Elementary
(1) Have been engaged in this occupation or related occupations for more than 1 year (inclusive).
(2) The apprenticeship period in the occupation or related occupation has expired.

Those who meet one of the following conditions can apply for Level 4/Intermediate
(1) After obtaining the fifth/primary vocational qualification certificate (skill level certificate) of the occupation or related occupations, the applicant has been engaged in the occupation for more than 4 years (inclusive).
(2) Have been engaged in the occupation or related occupations for more than 6 years (inclusive).
(3) Obtain the graduation certificate of the major or related major of the technical school (including the fresh graduates who have not yet obtained the graduation certificate); or obtain a graduation certificate of this major or related major from a secondary vocational school or above that has been evaluated and demonstrated and takes intermediate skills as the training goal (including fresh graduates who have not yet obtained a graduation certificate).

Those who meet one of the following conditions can apply for Level 3/Advanced
(1) After obtaining the fourth/intermediate vocational qualification certificate (skill level certificate) of the occupation or related occupation, he has been engaged in the occupation or related occupation for more than 5 years (inclusive).
(2) Obtain the fourth/intermediate vocational qualification certificate (skill level certificate) of the occupation or related occupations, and have the graduation certificate of senior technical school and technician college (including fresh graduates who have not yet obtained the graduation certificate); or have obtained the fourth/intermediate vocational qualification certificate (skill level certificate) of the occupation or related occupation, and have the graduation certificate of the major or related major of the higher vocational school (including the fresh graduates who have not yet obtained the graduation certificate) with the evaluation and demonstration and the training goal of advanced skills.
(3) Have a college degree or above in this major or related professional graduation certificate, and after obtaining the fourth/intermediate vocational qualification certificate (skill level certificate) of this occupation or related occupation, have been engaged in this occupation or related occupation for more than 2 years (inclusive).

Those who meet one of the following conditions can apply for Level 2/Technician
(1) After obtaining the third-level/senior vocational qualification certificate (skill level certificate) of the occupation or related occupation, the applicant has been engaged in the occupation or related occupation for more than 4 years (inclusive).
(2) Graduates of senior technical schools and technician colleges who have obtained the third-level/senior vocational qualification certificate (skill level certificate) of the occupation or related occupations, and have been engaged in the occupation or related occupations for more than 3 years (inclusive); or graduates of technician colleges who have obtained the certificate of preparatory technician in this occupation or related occupations, and have worked in this occupation or related occupations for more than 2 years (inclusive).

Those who meet the following conditions can apply for first-class/senior technician
After obtaining the second-level/technician vocational qualification certificate (skill level certificate) of this occupation or related occupation, he or she has been engaged in this occupation or related occupation for more than 4 years (inclusive).
