Yamaha introduced the NMAX Turbo version for the Indonesian market, a model with extensive tweaks in power and exterior design. The new NMAX Turbo is based on the theme of sporty elements, with a subverted exterior style, fine-tuned body lines, and sharper fairings and light clusters to enhance the sporty temperament. The in-vehicle system has also been upgraded to a TFT+LCD dual LCD instrument cluster, and supports Y-Connect in-vehicle interconnection and smart key system.
In terms of power, the new NMAX still uses the Yamaha Blue Core powertrain, a single-cylinder liquid-cooled VVA variable four-valve engine, and is equipped with the latest generation of YECVT technology. Although it is called a "turbocharged" version, it is actually controlled by an electronic control system that provides three levels of acceleration.
In terms of chassis hardware, the new NMAX Turbo remains the same as the current model, but with an increase in shock stroke. The braking system is equipped with dual-channel ABS and TCS traction control system as standard for enhanced safety. The price is equivalent to RMB 20,172.
Overall, the new NMAX Turbo has been comprehensively upgraded in terms of appearance and electronic control configuration to cope with the competition in the market.
