"We have promoted waxy corn interplanting edamame in the dam area, and the boss has come to buy it in the past two days. My family's waxy corn sells for 1.4 yuan per catty, edamame sells for 3 yuan per catty, and the area of Qifen field has been harvested, waxy corn is sold for 2,000 yuan, and edamame is sold for more than 1,000 yuan, and we will continue to develop in the future. "During this time, the waxy corn and edamame beans we have here are ripening and marketing, and we are asking workers to harvest them. My family's waxy corn is expected to be able to harvest more than 30,000 catties and earn more than 40,000 yuan. Grower Lee Chang-young said.
Due to the low temperature and arid climate this year, the yield of more than 1,000 acres of fresh waxy corn planted in the dam area has also been affected to a certain extent. In order to ensure that farmers' fresh waxy corn and edamame can be sold, the cadres of the local village branch committees and the cadres stationed in the village have stepped up publicity efforts before the fresh waxy corn and edamame are ripe, attracting merchants from all over the world to come to buy and solve the farmers' worries.
"Every year, I come to the Solidarity Dam area to buy fresh waxy corn and edamame, and the amount of corn purchased every year should be about 1,000 tons, and the amount of edamame is slightly less. Now farmers are harvesting a large number of crops, and we are also buying a large number of agricultural products to help sell these agricultural products as much as possible and help Guizhou goods go out of the mountains. At present, about ten tons of waxy corn are purchased every day, and sometimes it can reach forty or fifty tons a day. Acquirer Zhang Mingyan said.
"We can plant three crops a year in the dam area, rice, garlic, edamame and early-maturing corn interplanting, and the output value of one acre of land per mu is about 12,000 yuan a year. For example, this season's edamame and early-maturing corn are interplanted in January, harvested in early May, and all harvested in early June. The yield of corn per mu is about 3,000 catties, edamame is about 1,000 catties, the output value per mu is about 5,000 yuan, and the total output value of this year can reach more than 5 million yuan.
