Embark on the "fine" to improve the chaos in farmland. Tongnan Village has always insisted on starting from the "fine" place and making efforts to the "practical" place to ensure that the improvement of the human settlement environment is long-term and clear. Since March 17, Tongnan Village has organized village team cadres, party members, the masses and other volunteers to carry out an 11-day "full coverage, dragnet" rectification action for the environmental sanitation of the whole area. Carry out comprehensive renovation of key areas such as the front and back of the people's houses, garbage delivery points, and along Yongtong Road, especially the white garbage in broccoli and unicorn melon planting bases. In the remediation action, the volunteers brought their own tools, searched the grass and ditches in a carpet style, carefully picked up agricultural wastes such as white garbage and residual film, and the garbage hidden in the grass on the roadside. A total of 80 tons of garbage were cleaned up, 60 ditches were cleaned up for a total of 50 kilometers, 8 excavators and 3 garbage transfer vehicles were dispatched, and 300 village cadres, party members and volunteers were mobilized.
Focus on the "small" and raise the service temperature. In order to do a solid job in the qualification certification of pension insurance benefits for urban and rural residents and ensure that all eligible personnel complete the qualification certification in a timely and smooth manner, a volunteer service team composed of members of the "two committees" of Tongnan Village, rural revitalization affairs specialists, and grid members has completed the certification of "door-to-door service" for the elderly, seriously ill and other elderly people with limited mobility and who cannot use smartphones. The volunteer service team also took advantage of this opportunity to disseminate to the masses the knowledge of changing customs and anti-fraud. At the same time, Tongnan Village also actively connects with the eye hospital to provide free eye health examination services for villagers, so that people can have their eyes checked at their doorstep, which is convenient and fast.
Focus on "real" and benefit people's livelihood. The first is to repair agricultural canals. The Majia Canal in the jurisdiction of Tongnan Village has been in disrepair for a long time, the channel is silted, and the irrigation capacity is seriously insufficient, resulting in the difficulty of watering more than 2,000 acres of surrounding land. At the end of April, the renovation of the 2,000-meter-long canal has been fully completed, which will effectively guarantee the demand for irrigation water in farmland, save water costs, reduce the burden on farmers, and improve the village's flood prevention and drought resistance capacity and crop yield. The second is to plant trees and protect greenery. In order to improve the effectiveness of human settlements and environmental sanitation and green the living environment of villagers, the Tongnan Village Committee organized personnel to carry out voluntary tree planting activities on both sides of Yongtong Road, the main road, and transplanted a total of 150 saplings to plant trees and protect the greenery of their homes with practical actions. The third is to turn on the lights and send them to the light. In 2023, the party branch of Tongnan Village actively used the "one thing, one discussion" project to win funds of 150,000 yuan, which solved the problem of limited night lighting conditions in some remaining lanes. A total of 53 sets of lighting facilities were installed, covering more than 1,800 meters of main roadways in 6 villager groups. At present, all street lights have been successfully installed and put into use.
Small problems are connected to big people's livelihood, and small transformations achieve great happiness.
