The project plans to build two pure electric 208 TEU container ships, which will be invested and constructed by Shanghai Qiyuan Core Power Technology Co., Ltd. and Hunan Xiangdian Power Co., Ltd., undertaken by Hunan Dingsheng Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., and constructed by Xiangtan Water Transport Affairs Center. The total length of the ship is 88 meters, the width is 15 meters, the depth is 5.3 meters, the design draft is 3.52 meters, and it is equipped with two 500kW propulsion motors, which can not only realize the charging and swapping function, but also support the application of digital and intelligent technology, and can achieve more than 10% comprehensive energy-saving income after the formation of the network of the ship charging and swapping station.

This is the first time that the shipyard in our city has adopted the segmented construction process, first building the middle cabin, side cabin and first compartment of the ship, and then assembling and closing the whole to form a complete hull. During the construction process, the Municipal Water Transport Affairs Center provides technical support and services for new energy ships in strict accordance with the requirements of technical specifications and the project schedule. Up to now, the hull of the No. 1 ship has been completed, and the construction progress of the ship's turbine has been completed by 90%; The hull of the No. 2 ship has been completed, and the construction progress of the ship's turbine is 50% complete.
