The Huangqiao Battle Memorial Hall is located in Huangqiao Town, Taixing City, Jiangsu Province.

Battle of Huangqiao In October 1940, the New Fourth Army fought a self-defense counterattack against the Kuomintang diehards in the Huangqiao area of Taixing, Jiangsu. In 1940, the main force of the Jiangnan Command of the New Fourth Army moved north to the Soviet Union and China. Kuomintang diehards Han Deqin's department attempted to eliminate the New Fourth Army. Under the command of Chen Yi and Su Yu, the New Fourth Army, with a force of more than 7,000 troops, defeated more than 15,000 people of the Kuomintang diehard Han Deqin Department and annihilated more than 11,000 of them. The victory in the Battle of Huangqiao created a glorious example of winning more with less and defeating the strong with the weak, dealt a severe blow to the arrogance of the Kuomintang diehards, realized the victorious rendezvous of the New Fourth Army and the Eighth Route Army, laid the foundation for the anti-Japanese base areas in northern Jiangsu, and opened up a new situation in the War of Resistance in Central China. The victory in the Battle of Huangqiao was the result of the heroic struggle of all the commanders and fighters of the New Fourth Army, and at the same time, it was also inseparable from the vigorous support of the broad masses of the people in northern Jiangsu.
It demonstrated the heroic fighting spirit and tenacious spirit of the New Fourth Army in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and also demonstrated the mainstay role of the Communist Party of China in the War of Resistance against Japan. This campaign was of great significance to the consolidation and development of the anti-Japanese base areas in Central China and to the persistence of the War of Resistance behind enemy lines in Central China.
