Retirement: A micro-habit that can thrive on yourself

In "Mastering Habits", micro-habits are defined as:

A regular practice or habitual action, insignificant and easy to do, is an incredible source of power that can change one's fate.

In life, anyone who has made significant achievements in certain aspects has good micro-habits.

In the past few years of studying psychology, I have found that there is a micro-habit that can help a person get rid of the determinism of the original family, make life smoother and smoother, and life will be more and more prosperous.

This method is to write a reflective journal, which I feel is effective, and I will share it with you here.

Retirement: A micro-habit that can thrive on yourself

01

Keeping a reflective journal allows a person to understand their deeper selves and make reasonable plans for the future

A reflective diary, also known as an emotional diary, is a process that records the emergence of one's own emotions every day.

Through sentiment analysis, a person can understand themselves more deeply and understand the deepest desires of the heart.

For example:

Every time I work out on the treadmill, I play music and listen to it.

I found that when I listened to the songs of Yang Zhuoma, I felt a pleasant emotion welling up in my heart, as if I was injected with a kind of energy.

Why is there such an emotion?

When writing a reflection diary, I analyzed the reason, because the singing voice of Jianyang Zhuoma is rich and melodious, natural and comfortable, which makes the listeners feel angry.

What's more, this voice is unique to her, and she takes being herself to the extreme.

Later, when I read Yan Geling's novels, I was also excited by her unique way of expressing herself in the novels.

I've found that people who focus on what they love, don't follow trends, and have their own uniqueness, are the direction I want to pursue.

02

Writing a reflective journal can help you discover your cognitive problems.

There is a saying that the biggest difference between people is not money status, but cognition.

Cognition is like the root of a tree, and the outward behavior and language are the branches and leaves of a big tree, and problems in the roots of the tree will be reflected in the branches and leaves.

Correspondingly, if a person's cognitive problems occur, they will be reflected in his emotions, language, and behavior.

Look for cognitive problems, mostly based on the appearance of negative emotions as clues.

The specific procedure is as follows:

One is what kind of negative emotions have emerged;

second, what cognition triggers negative emotions;

The third is what kind of problem exists in cognition.

Through the analysis of negative emotions, we can understand how the irrational cognition in our hearts controls our emotions and affects our lives.

For example: I sent a text message to a friend, but I waited for a long time and didn't see a reply.

If you experience an angry emotion at this time, ask yourself: Why am I angry?

You may find that others don't reply to messages, making you feel that you are dispensable and inconsequential in the eyes of others. And this feeling triggers your anger.

In fact, there are many reasons for not replying to messages, it may be that the other party did not see it, or it is inconvenient to reply.

Why do you subconsciously think you're dispensable?

If you reflect deeply, you will think that when you were a child, you were often ignored by your parents and others, and you were powerless to resist at that time. And this feeling, as time passes, is pressed into the subconscious.

Your friends don't reply to your messages, which triggers your feelings as a child, which makes you angry.

When you become aware of the root cause of your emotions through reflection, the next time you face the same thing, you will become more sensible, more objective, and more peaceful in your mind.

When a person's perception changes, so does their destiny.

Retirement: A micro-habit that can thrive on yourself

Writing a reflective journal requires us to take the ups and downs of our emotions as clues and record how we think in the process of emotional ups and downs.

A person who is strong in his heart will not be easily disturbed by external objects because his heart is self-consistent.

And for you to experience negative emotions, it must be in your heart, there is an unreasonable cognition.

Only through analysis and reflection can we find out the wrong perceptions that we can make changes.

You might as well try this little idea, with a one-month deadline, and see what happens. #退休之后怎样过#
