The version we tested was a four-wheel drive dual motor, with a maximum power of 315kW and a maximum torque of 543Nm, and an acceleration time of 0-100km/h in just 3.6s. The battery has a capacity of 66 kWh and a range of 540 km in the CLTC mode.
The powertrain, combined with the chassis, is simply built for the driver. The power is so strong that with a slight press of the accelerator pedal, the car is hurtling off. But don't worry, its power output is relatively linear, and it is released linearly with the opening of the electric door, so that you feel very well controlled, and it will not make people feel bad to control.
In fact, many brands can do strong power, which is not difficult, but the difficult thing is suspension tuning, which is the most test of skills. The EX30 chassis was tuned by the Volvo Europe team and has a sporty style with a tight and resilient suspension that provides ample lateral support when cornering with a little speed. The wheels are designed with four wheels and four corners, which makes the vehicle very agile to handle, which is also the handling advantage brought by the car from the physical level.
The suspension is fully filtered for fine bumps, and the chassis is very heavy when passing through the manhole cover, which is not at all like the texture of a conventional 4.2-meter car, and the chassis feels very advanced, which is the texture of a luxury car. The EX30's chassis performance is what I like the most about it, and I was pleasantly surprised.
The steering force is moderate, and the texture is not bad, similar to models such as the Volvo S60. The brakes are not like the original Volvo's stiff foot feel, and there is strong braking power in the early stage. The EX30's brake feel is moderately hard, and the braking force release force in the first half of the brake pedal is similar to that in the second half, which is relatively slower than that of the previous Volvo oil car, and the foot feel is easier to control.
The NVH performance of the new car is also excellent, the cabin is very well sealed, the cabin is quiet at high speeds, most of the wind noise and road noise are isolated from the cabin, and the overall performance is the level of sound insulation and noise reduction of luxury cars.
[ ·4· Summary ] Volvo EX30 emphasizes the attitude of environmental protection, and uses a lot of environmentally friendly materials. From a driving point of view, it has a strong driving pleasure, and there are almost no obvious slots in the driving performance in its class.
Volvo EX30 really doesn't say anything about the overall quality, but if there is no brand story of BMW MINI, then the trade-off between price and sales is a difficult problem.
