The case of Liu Lixian, former member of the Party Committee and secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Co., Ltd., who was suspected of accepting bribes, was investigated by the State Supervision Commission and designated by the Supreme People's Procuratorate to be reviewed and prosecuted by the People's Procuratorate of Dezhou City, Shandong Province. Recently, the People's Procuratorate of Dezhou City, Shandong Province has filed a public prosecution with the Intermediate People's Court of Dezhou City, Shandong Province.
During the review for prosecution stage, the procuratorate informed the defendant Liu Lixian of his procedural rights in accordance with the law, interrogated the defendant Liu Lixian, and listened to the defender's opinions. The procuratorate's indictment alleges: Defendant Liu Lixian took advantage of his position as director of the Procuratorial Technology Bureau of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, member of the Party Committee, secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and vice president of China Huarong Asset Management Corporation, member of the Party Committee and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Co., Ltd., to seek benefits for others, and also took advantage of the convenience created by his own authority or position to seek improper benefits for others and illegally accept property from others through the conduct of other state functionaries in their positions, the amount of which was particularly huge. He shall be investigated for criminal responsibility for the crime of accepting bribes in accordance with law.
