On May 13, the Huangzhong District Emergency Management Bureau organized more than 80 people from the District Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, the Natural Resources Bureau, the Agriculture and Rural Bureau, the Fire and Rescue Brigade and other units to carry out disaster prevention, mitigation and relief publicity activities in the Cultural Square around the theme of this year's National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day, "Everyone Stresses Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond to Emergencies - Striving to Improve the Ability of Grassroots Disaster Prevention and Risk Avoidance".
At the event site, all units combined their respective functions and industry characteristics, through the establishment of graphic display boards, the construction of consultation desks, the hanging of publicity banners, the distribution of disaster prevention and mitigation brochures, publicity materials and other forms, to popularize earthquakes, lightning, debris flows, landslides and other natural disasters to the masses to avoid danger and self-rescue skills, as well as the use of fire, electricity, gas and other life safety knowledge, and to give patient and meticulous answers to the questions raised by the masses. Through concentrated publicity activities, the general public can quickly understand the knowledge of disaster prevention and mitigation, and effectively improve the awareness of disaster prevention and the ability of self-help and mutual rescue. In this event, a total of more than 3,000 copies of various disaster prevention and mitigation knowledge publicity materials were distributed, more than 70 banners were hung, more than 60 exhibition boards were placed, and more than 100 people were consulted by the masses on the spot.
Through this publicity activity, the attention of the people in our region to disaster prevention and mitigation work has been further enhanced, a strong atmosphere of disaster prevention, mitigation and relief has been created in the region, the awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation has been enhanced, the knowledge of disaster prevention and mitigation and self-rescue skills of the whole people have been popularized and promoted, and the whole people have been guided to actively participate in the learning of disaster prevention and emergency safety knowledge, so as to improve the ability of self-rescue and mutual rescue in response to sudden disasters and accidents, and effectively enhance the capacity of grassroots emergency response.
