The comprehensive traffic renovation project of the headquarters base section of Binhai Avenue, a key transportation project in Shenzhen, has always attracted the attention of the public. On the afternoon of May 13, the reporter came to the project for an interview and learned that the main line of the sinking tunnel section of the project has been basically completed and will be officially completed and opened to traffic in the near future.

The reporter interviewed on the spot and saw that the overall construction of the project after completion was very "tall". The sinking tunnel as a whole adopts the "hidden" decoration, and the pipeline is basically invisible when driving in the tunnel, showing a simple and atmospheric style. The entrance and exit of the tunnel are made of steel structure frame, and the top is inlaid with small dense steel structures, equipped with sound-absorbing panels, and the rest is directly hollowed out. When the daylight is naturally projected into the tunnel, it will form a sparkling light, realizing the spatial effect of "attracting scenery into the city".

It is understood that after the opening of the main line of the sinking tunnel section, the two relief roads on the south side will be retained as auxiliary roads for temporary use, which will alleviate the traffic pressure in the eastbound direction of Binhai Avenue, solve the problem of traffic node congestion such as Shahe East Interchange Binhai Avenue and Shenzhen Bay Park No. 3 parking lot, and increase the traffic rate by about 40%.

The Binhai Avenue project starts from the Shahe East Road interchange in the west, reaches the Guangshen Expressway in the east, and spans the two districts of Nanshan and Futian, with a total length of 5,950 meters. Among them, the ABP section is sunk in its entirety, with a length of 1,560 meters in the sinking tunnel section and 4,390 meters in the ground reconstruction section. After the transformation, the main line will have 8 lanes in both directions and a speed of 80 km/h, and the auxiliary road will have 6 lanes in both directions and a speed of 40 km/h.

The project adopts an integrated design, and in the future, it will deeply coordinate multiple systems such as rail, bus, tunnel, and underground space development, and is a super complex integrating road transportation, rail transit, and comprehensive development. The project integrates comprehensive transportation facilities such as urban road sinking, underground harbor-style bus stops, Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen intercity stations, and underground space of super headquarters with the development of underground space, forming a four-story space underground. Among them, the first basement layer is the upper cavity development layer of the tunnel and the super total underground space; The second basement floor is the main and auxiliary roads on the north side, the main road on the south side and the underground harbor bus stop on the north side; The third basement floor is the south side auxiliary road, the south side harbor stop and the station hall floor of Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Station; The fourth underground floor is the platform floor of Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Station. The north and south auxiliary roads of the sinking tunnel section are located on the second and third floors respectively, and two pairs of access ramps are set up at Shenwan Branch 2nd Street and Shenwan 2nd Road to connect with the Shenzhen Super General Underground Ring Road.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Shenzhen Municipal Transportation Bureau, the remaining auxiliary road construction of the Binhai Avenue project will be fully completed in the second half of this year, when the overall scale of the main road two-way 8 lanes and auxiliary road two-way 6 lanes will be formed. After the completion of the project, Binhai Avenue will effectively connect Binjiang Avenue, Guimiao Road Tunnel and Binhe Avenue, alleviating the traffic bottleneck of Binhai Avenue; The underground road of the sinking tunnel section is equipped with 2 special ramps to connect the underground loop of Shenzhen Super Total to meet the large traffic arrival and departure needs generated by the total development of Shenzhen Super Tunnel; The Binhai Avenue project will form a "ground + underground" three-dimensional traffic, which can effectively alleviate the traffic bottleneck of Binhai Avenue, and at the same time release a huge green space with an area of about 100,000 square meters, equivalent to 14 standard football fields, eliminate the separation of Binhai Avenue from the Shenzhen Bay landscape belt, and provide higher quality public space for promoting the integration of urban architecture and coastal landscape.
