In 1951, while we were busy resisting US aggression and aiding Korea, India crossed the traditional line of Chinese and Indian customary lines, openly invaded northward, and occupied more than 90,000 square kilometers of land south of the McMahon Line, which were all Chinese territory. Since then, India has occupied Kanzemani north of the McMahon Line in the eastern sector, as well as parts of the central sector.
In 1959, after we pacified the Tibetan areas, the Indian side openly demanded that we include more than 90,000 square kilometers of territory in the eastern section and 32,000 square kilometers in the western section of the country. In 1961, Nehru even felt that our call for peace talks was a sign of weakness. It seems that in their opinion, only war can solve the border problem. After World War II, the world has been reshuffled
The main reason why India has such confidence is that they feel that as the eldest son of Britain, they have received the true inheritance of Britain and have advanced combat effectiveness and combat thinking of the West.

In fact, India has made a mistake in a situation, after World War II, the world is no longer the world of Britain and France. The USSR supported India and took the world by surprise

However, it was the Soviet Union that really made India determined to fight with China. The fact that the Soviet Union was on India's side at a critical moment was something Nehru never imagined.
Because the Soviet Union and India have no similarities or similarities in terms of cultural beliefs or state systems, and they are even-for-tat in many aspects.
So, Nehru didn't quite understand why the Soviets did what they did at first. After learning the inside story, Nehru smiled heartily: it turned out that they were infighting!
True, as early as 1960, a huge contradiction arose between China and the Soviet Union, which led to a fierce controversy. And the Soviet Union also withdrew all the experts who supported China in this year. This incident directly led to the inability of many half-pull projects to continue, and the losses were too great.
At that time, the Soviet Union had always boasted of being the big brother, so it was necessary to make the younger brothers completely subordinate to themselves. But Yugoslavia, including us, just refused to accept their direct management. We are all independent countries, so why should you point fingers at our land? Did the tsar's old mistake happen again?
The Soviet Union was very unhappy, feeling that its authority had been challenged, so they spared no effort to make something happen around us, and the best way was to find an agent to help fight without taking action themselves, and India became the object of the Soviet Union's key support.
In the decades since, the Soviet Union has been helping India, especially militarily, so much so that the Indian army has become heavily dependent on Soviet military equipment.
Fortunately, there was a contradiction between the United States and the Soviet Union
In October 1962, the timing of the self-defense counterattack against India was very well chosen, because it coincided with the Cuban Missile Crisis. At that time, the Soviet Union and the United States were in a state of saber rattling, and a major war could break out at any time.
At this time, even if the United States and the Soviet Union knew about it, they would not be distracted and ran over to help India deal with us. Therefore, after we won a battle, we immediately withdrew, and did not take advantage of the victory to pursue.
In doing so, not only did it make perfect use of the reaction window period between the United States and the Soviet Union, but it also taught India a big lesson, telling them that China is not easy to provoke, and we love peace, but on the territorial issue, whoever wants to fight our idea can only use their fists to greet you.
Since then, the United States and the Soviet Union have been in a state of confrontation for a long time, which has given us who are surviving in the cracks a relatively stable living space. If the two of them shake hands and make peace, then we will be under a lot of pressure. After all, one wants your territory, the other wants a ticket in your pocket, and no one is a fuel-efficient lamp.
Looking back at India, they are also confused, after all, a big brother is unreliable. It can be seen that relying on heaven and earth and relying on parents is not really a good man, and everything has to rely on himself.
