It is understood that at present, pets cannot be checked in on high-speed rail, and only some general-speed trains can.
According to the Regulations on Railway Passenger Transport of China State Railway Corporation and the Catalogue of Prohibited and Restricted Items for Railway Passengers, except for guide dogs and molluscs packaged in closed boxes as food, no live animals, regardless of size, are allowed to be brought into the carriage.
However, small live animals with quarantine certificates and packed in special containers can be checked in, but animals that can actively attack and harm people, such as snakes and scorpions, and large animals cannot be checked in.
