This sentence has made clear a fact for cadres at all levels - reporting worries is also a responsibility.
In stark contrast, since the beginning of this year alone, from the case of automatic online monitoring and fraud of key pollutant discharge units in Ningxia, to Sun Shutao, former vice chairman of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, who was named by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection for "falsifying economic data for personal progress", and then to Li Jinping, former party secretary and director of the Shanxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission, fell on the eve of retirement because he "connived at and supported the falsification of economic data in order to gain political achievements...... These examples show that there are many people who report good news but not bad news and make political achievements.
Why are you keen to report good news? It is because there is a problem with the concept of political performance of these people, and they believe that the thicker the merit book, the wider the road to promotion. It is undeniable that every leading cadre with a high degree of professionalism and sense of responsibility actually hopes to "serve as an official for one term and benefit one party", make more achievements for the party and the people during his term of office, and boost the local economic development faster and faster. However, if you only stare at the good news and ignore the bad news, this is the same as the process of baking pancakes, riveting and increasing the heat only to burn one side, and the pancakes will be scorched sooner or later.
It is a trivial matter for pancakes to be burned, but it is a big thing to delay the overall situation of economic development. Especially in the investigation and research, there can be a big article in the report of worries. On the one hand, this is a return to the idea of seeking truth from facts, which is conducive to discovering and dialectically thinking about a series of contradictions and problems in reality. On the other hand, it has also prompted leading cadres to redouble their seriousness in looking back at their mistakes and "seeking" the "yes" from the various unfavorable factors that objectively exist. More importantly, when the examples of grassroots worries are gathered on the desk of the superiors, it is easier for the superiors to discover the common problems, and then provide a reliable basis for the next step to make scientific and effective decisions.
Objectively speaking, it is inevitable that a person, a unit, or even a period of time will have problems or mistakes in their work. It is not so much that we are afraid of leaving a bad impression on our superiors, that we are afraid of affecting the evaluation of the work of our own region, our unit and our project, and that we are afraid of affecting the promotion and use of individuals. We should not underestimate the destructive power of such selfish motives, for many of them suffer from abdominal pain in the course of covering up problems, become ill in the course of avoiding contradictions, and fall down when "the situation is in a very good situation." Isn't this worthy of the full attention and caution of leading cadres at all levels in their investigation and study?
Positive admonition is the purpose of investigation and research, and bitter and dangerous words are the medicine stone for curing diseases and saving people. From the perspective of "the promise of a thousand people is not as good as the promise of a man", this kind of political achievement is more valuable, more responsible, and more worthy of practice.
