On May 13, Geely Galaxy E5 made its debut. As Galaxy's first pure electric SUV, the Galaxy E5 is a global model developed simultaneously for domestic and overseas markets. The price of the new model is expected to be in the range of 150,000-200,000 yuan, and it will be launched in the second half of the year or the second quarter.
The Galaxy E5 is built on the GEEA 3.0 electronic and electrical architecture, with many leading technologies, including CTB battery body integration, Galaxy 11-in-1 intelligent electric drive, Aegis short knife battery and Flyme Auto car machine system.
In terms of design, the Galaxy E5 has two grilles, one is a closed grille, and the other is a ripple of light rhythm grille design, the latter will appear in the high-end models. The side of the body looks compact, with a length, width and height of 4615/1901/1670mm and a wheelbase of 2750mm, which is a bit larger than the Yuan PLUS. In the compact segment, the wheelbase is good, and the C-pillar corner windows are specially treated so that the view of rear passengers is not too obstructed. The rear of the car adopts a through-type taillight design, which is very mainstream, but it is also a little less recognizable, coupled with the minimalist overall style, from the tail point of view, there are indeed not many memory points.
The interior design of the car is also the mainstream large-screen minimalist style, consisting of a floating central control screen + LCD instrument + HUD composed of three screens in the car, and the other two flat-bottomed steering wheels are a good design highlight. The car machine is the Flyme Auto car machine system, equipped with the first domestic automotive-grade 7nm car machine chip Dragon Eagle No. 1, which has twice the computing power of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155.
In terms of power, the Galaxy E5 is equipped with an 11-in-1 intelligent electric drive system with a maximum motor power of 160kW. In addition to this, more information on performance and autonomy is yet to be officially announced.
