South China: Xu Jiufang reports
On May 12, 2024, Mother's Day, may all the day be Happy Mother's Day. A group of 6 Dongwang volunteers from Fujian Putian Service Team were invited by the board of directors of Huashan Mazu, Shuangsushan Mountain, Yuetang Town, Futian, Fujian Province, to help remove weeds on both sides of Huashan Mazu Highway.
Volunteers came to the scene, some with their hands to pull the grass, some with hoes, some with shovels, because the grass grows in the cracks of the stones is not easy to pull at all, they are still very careful and patient to pull out each grass, and then use herbicides to spray after pulling. Through their hard work, the weeds on both sides of the road were finally removed. Their actions have infected many people, and some people have also participated in the ranks of volunteers.
In this activity, volunteers set an example to normalize services, drive more people to care for the environment, and also reflect the positive spirit of volunteers, accompanied by beauty and happiness!
