In order to deeply understand the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on flood prevention and disaster relief, fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, enhance the level of geological disaster prevention at the grassroots level during the flood season, consolidate and improve the emergency management capacity of Chengbei District, and promote grassroots staff to improve their awareness and attention to geological disasters. On May 11, the Chengbei District Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters Office, together with the District Natural Resources and Forestry Bureau, organized more than 100 people from the member units of the Chengbei District Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters, the leaders and staff of the town offices, and the personnel in charge of each village (community) to carry out the "Chengbei District 2024 Flood Season Geological Disaster Prevention and Response Grassroots Ability Training Meeting".
The training took a combination of pictures and texts, case viewing, and expert Q&A to explain to the trainers the causes, types and how to monitor geological disasters, the signs before geological disasters and how to escape when geological disasters occur, so that the trainees really felt the various emergencies when geological disasters came in the flood season, and had a clearer understanding of strengthening the management and defense of geological disasters, which provided a foundation for the follow-up grassroots personnel to apply the knowledge they learned to practical work. The training is rich in content, detailed, simple to understand, with a strong theoretical, pertinent and instructive, enhance the ability of the grassroots units in Chengbei District to deal with and prevent geological disasters, and provide a solid foundation for the follow-up of the flood control work in our district.
In the next step, Chengbei District will take this training as an opportunity to further strengthen the construction of flood prevention and drought relief system, combine with the actual work, focus on making up for shortcomings, plugging loopholes, strengths and weaknesses, implement various preparatory measures in detail, pay close attention to completing the flood prevention and drought mitigation system, vigorously improve the ability to prevent and respond to flood and drought disasters, and lay a solid foundation for the comprehensive victory of flood prevention and drought control this year.
