Qian Songyan (1899~1985), a native of Yixing County, Jiangsu Province, was one of the representatives of contemporary Chinese art and Chinese landscape painting, and a leading figure of the New Jinling School. He used to be the president and honorary president of Jiangsu Academy of Chinese Painting, the chairman of Jiangsu Artists Association, and the executive director and consultant of China Artists Association.
