Since the end of January 2024, China Evergrande, Country Garden and other real estate companies have been formally liquidated or have been petitioned for winding-up; On March 9, 2024, Ni Hong, Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, said that "for real estate enterprises that are seriously insolvent and have lost their ability to operate, they should go bankrupt and reorganize in accordance with the principles of rule of law and marketization." This paper focuses on the re-evaluation of the asset value and asset-liability ratio of 67 real estate enterprises (including 26 real estate enterprises that have been insured, hereinafter referred to as the "sample real estate enterprises").
