Among the famous "Eight Great Routes into Tibet", Bingchacha is famous for its dangers, and was voted by netizens as "the most abusive route into Tibet", "the most dangerous route into Tibet" and "the loneliest route into Tibet" with extremely bad road conditions and extremely harsh environment.
Gravel, potholes, rocks, landslides, quicksand, rolling stones and other natural "lesions" that the highway is most afraid of encountering are everywhere on this road, but at the same time, it also connects countless mountains and rivers in Yunnan, which is a well-deserved ultimate road travel route.
01. The disappearing C. Chacha
"Bingchacha", taken from the first word of "Bingzhongluo-Chawarong-Chayu", starts from Qiuna, Bingzhongluo Town, Gongshan County, Yunnan Province in the south, and then passes through Chawarong Township, Chayu County, Tibet to reach Chayu County, with a total length of about 270 kilometers.
This road stretches between the cliffs and deep mountain canyons, over three high snow-capped mountains at an altitude of 4,000 meters, and the landslide area is unguardable, during which it passes through the terrifying "Death Valley", "Quicksand Valley", "Chicken Claw Bone Tunnel", "Tiger's Mouth"...

Since the advent of "C-Chacha", this "Divine Road" has captured the hearts of many off-road fans with the strong contrast of "eyes in heaven and body in hell", and some people even summed it up like this: "Go back to C-Chacha and brag for a lifetime".
Until June 2015, with the construction of the new Yunnan-Tibet Passage, Bingchacha as a core part was upgraded to the fourth-class highway standard, and the traffic conditions were greatly improved, and the hellish danger of the past was no longer there.
According to the latest news, Bingchacha will soon be planned as an asphalt road on National Highway 219, and tunnels will be opened in several sections of the road where natural disasters are severe. In other words, in the near future, C-Chacha will completely end the history of bad roads, but that is the day when there will be no more "C-Chacha" in the world!
