Huawei Pura 70 Pro: Performance and photography experience with the Kirin 9010 chip

Not long ago, Huawei did not hold another press conference, and directly launched the new Pura 70 series products on the official mall, which once caused heated discussions on the whole network. Until now, there has been a lot of discussion about this series of products on the Internet. What we got this time was a Huawei Pura 70 Pro with feather sand black.

This product is equipped with a Kirin 9010 processor, and the configuration used for the test is 12GB+256GB version. In the test session, we still selected 5 projects: Antutu V10, Geekbench 5, 3DMark "Genshin Impact" and "Broken Iron", and the test room temperature was a constant indoor temperature of 20°C.

In the Antutu V10, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro in our hands can run to 960,000 points.

In Geekbench 5, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro scored 1100 points for single-core and 4214 points for multi-core.

In the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme test, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro managed to achieve an average frame rate of 9.4 fps and a score of 1573 points.

In the 20-minute 3DMark Wild Life Extreme cycle test, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro delivered 99.2% stability. Considering that the GPU performance and power consumption are not high, this stability reference is not of great significance; The only caveat is that the peak temperature will be 49°C, which is on the high side.

Finally, there is the game part.

We first conducted the Honkai Star Rail test, and the scene was a high-load Pinoconi runmap test.

In the running image test, the running pressure of the Pinoconi scene is indeed a bit too much, and the Pura 70 Pro provided an average frame rate of 41.4 frames per second in the 5-minute test, and the feeling of stuttering and dropping frames is very obvious.

At the same time, we used a temperature gun to measure the temperature on the front and back of the phone, the peak temperature on the front was 47°C, and the peak temperature on the back was 45.7°C, and there was a certain amount of high temperature accumulation.

This is followed by Genshin Impact's most classic Sumeru runmap test.

In the 5-minute test, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro delivered an average frame rate of 59.5 fps, which is a very impressive score. However, this result should be run in the case of 640P.

At this point, we can see that the front and back temperatures of the Huawei Pura 70 Pro are 40°C and 39.8°C respectively, which is much better than when running Crash Iron.

In terms of charging and battery life, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro has a built-in 5050mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging and 80W wireless fast charging.

According to our 2-hour 4K video playback at station B, 1-hour 4K video recording, and 30-minute battery life test model of "Peace Elite", there is still 53% of the power left in the whole machine, which can basically meet the needs of daily use.

The full charge time for wired charging is 42 minutes.

In terms of imaging, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro adopts a 50MP super-focused main camera (F1.4~F4 variable aperture) + 12.5GM ultra-wide angle + 48MP super-concentrating macro telephoto (F2.1 aperture) on the rear, while both the main camera and telephoto support OIS optical image stabilization.

The 1/1.3" sensor and the variable aperture of F1.4~F4 make the Huawei Pura 70 Pro actively call up different apertures to shoot when facing different subjects, which also makes the phone better at capturing indoors and low-light environments, especially when shooting moving subjects indoors.

In relatively well-lit scenes, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro's main camera is mainly shot at the F2 aperture, and in the case of "vivid" colors, the overall image is very textured and has a strong contrast between light and dark, and there is no graying problem.

However, I personally think that the Huawei Pura 70 Pro is a little "too hard" in the saturation of the sky, and the high saturation makes the picture sometimes look a little tired, and the obvious pressure on the sky exposure also makes the finished film look a little dull.

This telephoto has the ability to take into account macro shooting at the same time, and the overall image quality feels good.

Using algorithms and digital zoom, the image quality is noticeably reduced at 10x (about 270mm equivalent), but I think it can be used for emergency shooting.

In portrait mode, users can call up multiple focal lengths to shoot, with the main camera 27mm being better for portraits with an environment, while the telephoto is better for focusing on close-ups of the model's face and half-body.

In terms of dermabrasion for portraits, I think the Huawei Pura 70 Pro still has some things that could be improved: for example, the overall skin tone of the model is reddish and a little dull, and some skin areas such as the thighs are not dermabrasion, but these should be solved by OTA.

In addition, it may be due to the different understanding of color by each manufacturer, the overall white balance of the Huawei Pura 70 Pro will be warmer in warm light and colder in cold light, which will highlight the difference in different color temperatures, so the actual performance of the finished film will be somewhat different from that of other brands.

All in all, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro is a smartphone with strong overall performance and excellent imaging capabilities, and while there is room for improvement in some areas, overall, it offers a worthy option for users looking for a high-performance and high-quality photography experience. As the software continues to be optimized and updated, we can expect this phone to perform even better in the future.
