What is a smoke alarm?

Classification of smoke alarms
1. Ion smoke alarm: Judge whether there is a fire by detecting the positive and negative ions in the smoke. This type of alarm is very sensitive to tiny smoke particles and is able to respond quickly, but is slower to respond to larger smoke particles.
2. Photoelectric smoke alarm: uses the principle of reflection and refraction of the beam to detect smoke. When smoke enters the alarm, the photoelectric sensor detects the blocking and scattering of the smoke on the beam, thus triggering the alarm to sound an alarm. This type of alarm responds quickly to larger smoke particles, but is slower to respond to tiny smoke particles.
3. Infrared smoke alarm: Detect the infrared signature of smoke to determine whether there is a fire. This type of alarm is able to detect infrared radiation in the smoke and convert it into an electrical signal that triggers the siren to sound an alarm. This type of alarm has a good response speed to both tiny smoke particles and larger smoke particles, but the price is relatively high.

1. Look at the appearance
