At the intersection of the Shiquan Line and the production road in Gaojiazhuang Village, large machinery is working, and the construction personnel direct the machinery to clean up the silt of the river, and to the west of the river is a newly built production road, 440 meters long, connecting the crop plots on both sides of the mountain road. According to the staff, a 15-meter-long production bridge will be built here to facilitate the villagers to enter and exit the mountain.
Lan Ruile, director of the construction department of the Haiyang Project Department of Shandong Road and Bridge Group, said that the main content of the current upgrade is to rebuild the road into a 3.5-meter-wide cement concrete road, and the bridge and culvert will be rebuilt and widened to 9 meters.
The construction of production roads not only facilitates the travel of villagers, but also increases the economic benefits of fruit farmers. In the 1,000-acre apple demonstration orchard in the development town, the newly built production road is built around the apple demonstration party, since this production road, large trucks can come in and out, and the whole process of apple "lossless" transportation has been realized. Zhang Jinfang, secretary of the Party branch of Shangwuzhuang Village, Facheng Town, said that the mountain roads in the village are not easy to walk even if they ride an electric car.
The apple demonstration party produces about 300,000 catties of apples annually, and the potholes on the mountain road make the apples crush up to 10% after going down the mountain. After the production road is repaired in 2023, the crushing injury of apples will only be 1%, and at the same time, the wide road will also facilitate the mechanized operation of fruit farmers, improve fruit quality and increase the income of fruit farmers.
It is understood that the project is one of the eco-environment-oriented development (EOD) projects implemented by Haiyang Cultural Tourism Group, which will start in September 2023, mainly including the construction of rural production roads and bridges and culverts in the four important fruit towns of Facheng Town, Zhuwu Town, Xujiadian Town and Guocheng Town, with a total of 43 roads with a road length of about 24,523 meters, which is expected to be completed in mid-May.
