On May 8, Geely Town carried out a comprehensive disaster prevention and mitigation emergency drill of "geological disasters, earthquakes, flood control, and fire fighting" in the town cultural square.
The emergency drill was carried out under the guidance of the County Natural Resources Bureau and the County Emergency Management Bureau, and the emergency response office, police station, armed forces department, fire brigade, comprehensive law enforcement team, health center, village (community) party secretary and monitors of geological disasters participated in the drill.
During the exercise, in accordance with the principle of "unified command, scientific scheduling, division of labor and responsibility, and linkage between the upper and lower levels", each emergency rescue team performed its own duties and completed emergency response measures such as early warning, transfer and resettlement of disaster victims, medical treatment, order maintenance, and material support in an orderly manner according to the requirements of the plan.
Before the drill, the firefighters trained the participants in the use of fire extinguishers, and the participants operated them on the spot.
Through the comprehensive emergency drill, the organization and command ability of the emergency leading group of Geely Town and the rapid response ability of the emergency rescue team have been further improved, the responsibilities of towns and villages at all levels have been consolidated, and the awareness and ability of the masses to help themselves and each other have been enhanced.
