The $200 official Apple VisionPro case can be very expensive, and Apple may not have designed it with extreme use conditions in mind after being run over by a car, but at least for one grateful Vision Pro user, the official case seems to be worth the price.

Recently, a Reddit user shared a story on social media about an inadvertent person who forgot his Vision Pro on the ground. Surveillance cameras recorded what happened to the headset, and unexpectedly, a Toyota SUV drove over and ran over the box when the user placed the Vision Pro on the ground.

It is reported that the official storage box offers a rip-resistant shell, a polycarbonate protective structure, a microfiber lining, and retractable handles, as well as the ability to protect the Apple Vision Pro when a Toyota SUV weighing up to 4290 pounds (about 1940 kilograms) runs over.

The Reddit user "gxace" detailed how the Vision Pro was run over by a Toyota FJ Cruiser after it was left on the ground, and surveillance cameras captured the scene.

Surprisingly, after this unexpected crushing, there were no obvious cracks in the Vision Pro storage box, and what is even more surprising is that the Vision Pro in the box is still working properly.

"I think this case is worth blowing, and it's shocking to see that the Vision Pro case doesn't have visible cracks," says gxace. It's crazy that the suitcase has a tire pattern printed on the surface and only one side is a little deformed. Although the Vision Pro face pad is a bit curved, it works fine after start-up, and the inside of the case is slightly deformed, but it is not visible from the outside except for the indentation. ”

Obviously, a slightly warped cushion area is already a very good result, and if it's not covered by Apple Care, it can cost thousands of dollars to fix or replace. Considering the high price tag of $3,500 for the Vision Pro, such resilience undoubtedly exceeds user expectations.

Of course, that's not to say that the Vision Pro can withstand the crush of the vehicle at all times, and judging by the camera shots, if the tires are closer to the center of the suitcase, there is a considerable chance that the Vision Pro will be flattened.

Apple has not commented on this, but the incident has undoubtedly given confidence to users and made them trust Apple's product quality and design level even more.
